You know, rope magic is an interesting genre. It gets a great reaction from laypeople, but there has never been one clear source to learn routines. Daryl put out about five video volumes on rope magic, and Aldo Colombini has released at least that many. But rope magic isn’t like card magic; WE DON’T NEED THAT MUCH INFORMATION. What we need is one professional routine with a dramatic build—something short, punchy, and visual. Enter Richard Sanders with “Fiber Optics.”

Buy this online video and a length of rope, and two hours later you’ll have a rope routine you can work into your go-to piece. Do it to music on a big stage or present it walk-around. The point is, he has taken ALL the best sequences from other routines and added some original bits. This is THE way to do cut and restored, Professor’s Nightmare, and everything else you need with a rope. It’s worth every penny of 39.95 dollars and is the only rope product we endorse at Vanishing Inc.

Note: Rope not included. This is access to online instructions, which are full contents of the original DVD (which is no longer supplied).

If you want to perform some eye catching WOW rope magic magic, Fiber Optics by Richard Sanders is definitely for you. I always had trouble with a professor's nightmare rope effect. Richard Sanders teaches the moves to get in and out of the best performance of this effect. And wait, there is much more. Richard shows you the best of some wonderful rope moves. There are many of them and you can use all or some to put together a rope routine that will give your audience some real entertainment.

Can't explain how good this is. I have been some of these moves since the day I purchased the dvd.

It's well explained and visually well-produced material.

My only objection was that there was some repetition when he demo'd a move, but that comes with demos.

Part of my "A" material. Love it.

I'm an absolute beginner with rope magic, and actually own several different pre-made rope tricks I've purchased elsewhere, including versions of the Professor's Nightmare. I should have saved my money and bought this DVD first. The first ten minutes alone are worth the price of the DVD, just explaining how to get the correct ratio of rope lengths, performing the false count and doing the end switch move. The demonstration of each individual technique is clear, thorough, and presented in a logical sequence.

I couldn't be happier with the quality of this DVD, and recommend it without reservation to any beginner who wants to 'learn the ropes' of this type of magic.

I have performed this for many years and it is a great way to step up the Professors Nightmare and show your audience something different. The additional moves are very good and I really like what is on the DVD. The routine is well taught. However, I do not recommend doing everything on this DVD in a routine and being a copycat. After learning a basic routine from this, edit and use the moves you like and put together your own routine, personality and patter. This is a tool. Use it wisely and you will have a great piece of entertainment for your audiences. I highly recommend this.
Yours truly, Magical Entertainer Vincent, Toronto, Canada.

Even it is not a complete course on Rope Magic, I highly recommend this. I had no experience with RM but this dvd gives the student a well thought out compilation of rope moves in his hands. The best part for me is that you never need to cut any rope at all, all rope magic material depends on three pieces of rope which you can use over and over. This makes it really practical for me. For the serious student however, I recommend to dig deeper into rope material and to learn a few alternatives to do things. The challenge is to make your own routine and to find a presentation for it.
