Octopalm: Anti-Gravity Gel is a new way to stick just about any lightweight object to your skin, without the sticky residue. No more double stick tape. No more glue dots. No more sticky adhesives. No more tacky wax.

Octopalm is the most revolutionary adhesive since magician's wax. This is a completely new chemical design that, when applied in small doses to the skin, can give you the abilities of a gecko's touch by adhering small objects to your hand, arm, fingers, even your forehead. Objects want to stick to YOU. No sticky residue means you have the freedom to produce, vanish and change small objects at will, like never before.

Ever wanted your skin to be magnetic to just about anything? Solved. Ever wanted to quickly hide a coin on the back of your hand? Easy.

Touch your skin and it feels smooth. Press a coin to it and it fuses to your hand like superglue. Take the coin off to find no sticky leftovers. The uses are endless.

  • New, never before seen utility item
  • Adheres almost any small object to the skin
  • Provides gecko-like ability to do impossible tricks
  • Leaves skin smooth - no residue or stickiness
  • Thousands of uses - possibilities are tremendous
  • Packs small
  • Far superior to skin adhesives like wax, glue dots, double stick tape
  • Easy to apply of the fly
  • Long lasting - A little goes a long way
  • Includes a 90 minute instructional video with multiple tricks, routines, tips, tricks & performance ideas

I used hand lotions...they don't work.

I used that pink stuff (very briefly) used to sort through paper work. You know that small white plastic circular tub you see sitting next to a bank teller...it doesn't work for any perceptible amount of time.

Until recently, I have used Golden Touch...it works. But it wears off quickly.

Octopalm: Anti-gravity Gel...WTF!!!

When I started learning card magic, I had extreme difficulty with most sleights because the cards would not obey my fingers commands. I had extreme difficultly controlling cards with my fingertips and I have had this problem for, like...ever. Octopalm solved this issue, and it worked exceptionally well from the first time I began using it.

This stuff...works!!!

The video tutorial is surprising. It is ten minutes shy of two hours. And, to be honest when I watched a couple of the performance uses, I was fooled (badly). This product has a wide variety of uses aside from making cards bend to your will.

This is just FYI...
When I opened my container it was difficult to unscrew the lid and harder to screw it back on. It's a small plastic container (nothing unusual). However, I accidently discovered the container has a white plastic disc with a tiny pull tab. This disc acts as a seal for the gel in the main container and it was stuck inside the lid.

Also, pay heed when Jim Bodine explains how to apply the gel. You need to "work" it in to your skin and give it time to completely dry (which may take more time than explained).

If you are having difficulty controlling cards (finger tip controls, side steals, slip cuts, etc.) due to dry skin, this product is for you. I wish had this available to me years ago (like a lot of years ago).

Highly recommended.

If you think you’ve used up your OctoPalm supply, it has a secret that I’m going to divulge. And MY ignorance of this secret is the reason for this review…
I ordered OctoPalm when it first appeared on Vanishing. I didn’t use it often, but when I did, it never failed me (unless I used too much).
Last week I wanted to perform an OctoPalmed assisted slight and discovered the pan was 99% used up and what was left had hardened. I was upset by the small amount provided but ordered a new jar and held off on the trick I was going perform that night.
Later when I examined the empty jar (it comes apart easily into two halves), I realized the inner section was heavier than expected. That told me something else was afoot.
I Looked closely and discovered a nearly invisible line around the inner portion’s screw-on lid that appeared to be an injection molded seam.
A knife was all I needed to separate the seam and remove the shallow pan from the lower portion and was astonished to discover a generous amount of fresh OctoPalm inside.
My only complaint is now I have 2 jars that will long outlive me.
Boy! I love this stuff!

The product is killer, exactly as advertised. What I wasn't expecting were the multiple performances with very detailed explanations. Every effect is demonstrated, and an explanation of how the Octopalm is used is given. My favorite parts of the video are when Jim Bodine and Eric James both demonstrate and explain. Pros- does everything exactly as advertised Cons- have a cloth dampened with mineral spirits on hand, or nearby before you even open the container; you'll need it.This stuff WORKS!!!
This little tub stays in my pocket, now.

Octopalm: Must have! Super easy to use. Much better than rubber cement or other sticking aids! 1000s of uses and very affordable! The bonus is getting an hour worth of instruction for some awesome magic! The magic presentation and instruction is top notch!

in this craft we are all together....and this review prob won't get posted b/c i'm about to blast murphy.(love you guys) skip the magic wax, and their thread for that matter. it will cover ur "wall on the ceiling" stuff, but it is such an amazing impromptu pocket tool. matches, coins, perfect for threads, and a good temp cement fix for cards. one of my fav's, u can stick a thread on a Frisbee with this stuff..you get the idea.

I have to say that I was enthralled with the prospect of this stuff and I was sold by the advertisement video and description (as we all are when dealing with magic products). But as I have seen in some of the other reviews... Be Careful!! This stuff is powerful, and doesn't come with any instructions when bought, and I instantly ruined a close up mat that got some goo on it and had coins that were unusable until I cleaned them (it is oil based, some regular some and water didn't do it).
So my advise is that when you think you are using too little of this stuff, use even less. Anything that is stuck to your hands has to vanish and not come back into play. I do not recommend for restaurant or event performers. Your coins and cards and rope and silks and matchboxes and cups and etc... etc.. will all become unusable if you have to perform multiple times.
With all of that, I will say that the STUFF WORKS. It does do what it says it will do. I haven't given up on it, . But I don't think I would buy it again. It is just too much for this performer. Be carefull.

In the tutorial they refer to it as a "hand-cream", but it's actually glue. It's a sort of creamy rubber cement. It has a distinct pungent scent that everybody in your vicinity will smell. It's probably better to use a scoop or a stick to apply it to your hands, because it tends to make everything sticky and probably you don't want to dirt your other fingers.

I didn't find any informations about the ingredients on the box or the container which is strange and I'm not sure it's even legal, so I don't know what issues you could incur in to, if you happen to inadvertently touch food with dirty hands, but since the tutorial suggest to clean your hands with turpentine it's safe to suppose it's not safe at all. I don't think "Hand Cream" it's the right wording for this product.

The product it's sticky and will make everything it touches really sticky – so if you happen to stick a bunch of coins on the back of your hands, be sure to not hand them out because they will be all smudged in glue. On the other hand the grippiness will not last too much and you'll be leaved with dirty hands. In the tutorial they suggest it can last hours, but I find it usually last about half an hour.

You can probably make it last longer if you apply a lot. Honestly, it's too messy for me. I don't think getting your hands all dirty until you wash them with turpentine it's a justifiable trade-off for the possible effects. Similar results can be achieved in the mind of the spectator with just sleight of hands.

Octopalm is weird.... In a good way. I don't understand what this stuff is but it's really great! It really does make your hands into magnets!

  • Adam asks: Will this work for card against the wall

  • Ronald asks: About how many 'uses' for each application? Can it be removed by rubbing your fingers over it or do you need soap and water?

    • 1. Walter answers: The Last that I heard is that you need Mineral Spirits to remove it from fingers and things . I wish that they sold a small cylinder applicator with a water tight seal full of Mineral Spirits . I would by it !

  • Don asks: Can you use it on playing cards ?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: No, this is made for your hands. Do not put it on objects.
  • Peter asks: I’m thinking of a specific use for this item. Specifically the ‘pinkie push’ part of raise rise, (i.e. getting the in jogs). Would this item be good for that? Because even with Magician’s Choice I still don’t have enough tack on my pinkie to make it work.

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: This would be great for you. It adds some tacky-ness to your fingers.
  • Jim asks: I use an app where a spider is secretly placed on the back of an unsuspecting person's hand. Normally I use blue-tac and have the spider hidden on the back of my phone, then move it over to the volunteer's hand. Can this be used for such?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: This would not work since it is not a substance to stick things on. It's more of a substance to get grip on items.
  • Mark asks: After awhile it starts to dry up and becomes hard ( in its container). Difficult to apply on hands. I tried to knead it with a small knife blade in its container, trying to soften it up and revitalize it. Do you know if there is anything to add to mix with it to help it to soften up yet maintain its properties and help last longer while being stored?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: We're afraid once it has dried, there is not much that can be done.
