Born in 1895 in the village of Mumbles, in South Wales, Cardini was a deceiver of a different kind. He didn't perform magic; the magic commanded him.
Wearing the costume of his time, he performed his manipulative magic at the most prominent nightclubs and theaters in the UK and USA. He was sophisticated and stylish, yet somewhat surprised by the magic that happened to him.
