From AmazeKids and WonderPhil (aka Phil Pivnick) comes your new favorite birthday party magic trick. “Birthday Candle Repeat” is an engaging, entertaining and amazing way to help a child celebrate their special day.

“Birthday Candle Repeat” by WonderPhil takes the classic 6-card repeat effect and transforms it into an incredible birthday-themed routine with a surprise kicker ending. The kids won’t be able to contain their laughs, smiles and screams as the birthday candle cards you throw away keep reappearing in your hand. At the end of the routine, they’ll gasp as the birthday child can then actually “blow out” the printed candles.

This is the perfect children’s magic trick for both in-person and online shows. It’s a super fun and affordable effect that you can easily carry in your pocket. It packs small and plays huge for groups of all sizes from ages 2 to 10.

“Birthday Candle Repeat” comes with premium made cards, ready-made gimmicks and detailed video instructions.

The props are well-made, the routine is logical and visual and the cards handle really well in hand, no fumbling is needed. Pack small and play big is a problematic constraint for kids' shows and this trick nails it, it's a winner for me.

What a fun effect; a great re imaging of an old classic. The props are well made and durable. The routine is obviously a real worker for Wonderphil. He has really thought it out and gives some great instruction with options for variations, as well as how to modify the gimmick for a left handed performer. The sleight free variation of the reveal could be really helpful. My 12 year old son is the performer and his hands are not large enough for the revolve, but the spin reveal will be a good alternative until his hands get bigger. He did a 70th birthday party a few months back and had the thought that this could be adapted for that by letting each candle represent a decade, not just a year. It might not be for everyone but I think the crowd he was performing for would have enjoyed it. We have really enjoyed the Amaze kids products we have purchased so far. Keep them coming! Thanks.

A very good scripted trick for kids up to 10

Birthday Candle Repeat is great opening trick for kids birthdaypartys. Phil Pivnick aka WonderPhil teaches his routine, which is an absolut worker. Of course I do the trick in my own style but all the informations you are getting on the tutorial are really helpfull. It is really well scripted.

And the trick himself is a classic and easy to learn/perform.

The overall quality of the cards and gimmicks are good.

  • Ben asks: How is it to a Magician who ( like me ) is not very nimble in slight of hand ? 1 being easy, 5 being hard ?

    • 1. Phil answers: The gimmick does pretty much all the work for the main routine, where the cards keep reappearing. If you can push cards off a stack one at a time, you’re good. For the ending, I was able to teach my wife (who doesn’t play cards, let alone do magic) to do it in just a couple minutes, but even then, the instructions offer an alternate way to perform the ending that’s all presentation and zero sleight of hand. Hope this helps!

  • Michael asks: Since this trick is inspired by the 6 card repeat routine, it seems like it would only work for birthdays where the child is close to 6 years old. Does it work well for slightly older kids from 8-12 years old? Thanks.

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: For sure! You'll have to alter your presentation a little bit but it can work for any birthday.
