Leap of Faith is a beautifully constructed piece of visual card magic by David Regal. It has all the elements that make for a good card trick including presentation, misdirection, and sleight of hand.
The effect is straightforward; a card magically travels from one place to another. If you didn't get that, David makes it even more clear in the video.
We love how both the effect and method take use of the kings. Check out Kevin Ho's Fourgasm for a great way to start the trick off.Â

Leap of Faith is one of my favourite pieces of visual magic by one of our greatest living creators, David Regal. I loved it from the moment I read about it in Up Close and Personal. It happens fast, so clarity of effect is vital if you're going to blow spectators away. Unfortunately, the clarity of explanation in this video download is extremely sub-par. For £8 you get 5 minutes of David taking you swiftly through the effect. It is bare bones to say the least. Descriptions of moves and finger placement are actually less detailed than in the aforementioned book and add nothing if you've already read that. There one or two moments where it would have been helpful to have a close-up on David's hands, or else an over-the-shoulder shot. Those opportunities for clarification are missed. There's basically no attention given to presentation. This is probably the worst Regal download I've ever encountered - he's usually an amazing teacher but here it seems like everyone was desperate to get the thing over with as quickly as possible and bu£&er off home. Great effect, terrible download. Even at the relatively low price point, a rip-off given the brevity.
