The Insider | Jack Carpenter

By Damian Jennings - Monday, November 30, 2020

In this rare interview, Jack Carpenter talks about a soft touch, angles, hard moves, just using regular cards and I ask him if he's ever cheated in a money game. His answer may surprise you. You can listen to the audio recording right here, if you press the big purple Latest Episode button above. Or if you'd prefer, watch the video below if that's more your thing.

It's also available on Spotify, Google Podcasts or wherever you listen to podcasts.

There are a few audio glitches in this one. I tried to tidy it up as best I could.

My Father first showed me a “which pile is it in” trick. Then, seeing how much I was interested in it, on our way back from fishing, he would stop at a great restaurant on our way back to the Bay Area from Santa Cruz, Zanzi’s. The bartender actually had worked for Hardeen! You can bet that I went Salmon fishing with Dad every chance I had! Among other things, it took me two months to find the markings on his bee deck! Old school, you worked for ever trick, nuance, or move!
