I was so excited when I saw the preview video that I immediately placed an order... the idea of combing a chop cup that can also do same effect with regular coins is great, but...

I tried US quarter and US walking liberties and kennedy half dollars - both soft and regular coins - and NOTHING stays in the gimmick. I have to turn the cup up side down soooooo slow that you'd think you are watching a frame by frame movie. The smallest, and I mean SMALLEST movement or velocity will dislodge the coins thus destroying the effect.

Would love to return it but unfortunately I disposed of all packaging due to my excitement when the package arrived... lesson learnt. Try gimmick before destroying return package!

Doesn't hold the coins as advertised and the instructions are all visual, so no auditory instructions on what to do. The magnets are too strong too. Disappointed.

So disappointed in the coin part of the cup. Like another reviewer said, it's almost impossible to turn the cup over without dislodging the coin. I won't be returning it, though, since I can use it as a portable chop cup, and use it with another routine that needs a small cup or glass.

  • Gary asks: Other descriptions (the magic shop) states that the cup is magnetic and others don’t, is this true? The cup seems really cheap for a potential great effect.

    • 1. Jim answers: The cup and ball work like a Chop Cup. Technically, the cup does not need to be magnetic for the chop function to work. If you need more info, you should contact customer service.
