Released with full permission from Mario Lopez, Kenichi Komiya and Tenyo Magic have partnered to create Magic Tweezers—a super fun and visually mind-boggling coin trick offered as part of Tenyo's 2021 line of amazing magic tricks.

Magic Tweezers starts by introducing a credit card with a tiny hole in the center. After showing the card on both sides, you then reach the tweezers into the hole and produce a large silver coin that is very clearly way too big to ever fit through the hole.

This is a bizarre visual that is sure to produce smiles and laughs, especially when you proceed to repeat it numerous times.

After impossibly producing a number of coins, you then wave the card over one of the coins and magically transform it into a dollar bill for a surprising ending.

This delightfully baffling magic trick is one your audience's will never forget.

Each Magic Tweezers set includes tweezers, a special gimmick and instructions.

What an impressive gimmick. I had no idea this is how it would work. This is really visual and perfect for the routine they provide you with or also perfect when just using the tweezer and the gimmick by themselves or as a way to start off any coin routine. This is great for appearances and transportation.

What a great effect. I really love putting this in my repertoire using the routine you are given or creating your own. I personally like doing this as an introduction to a coin routine. It is easy but hurts your fingers after a few too many times.

This is a solid illusion. If you can handle chopsticks then you can easily do this. Don't get me wrong, it'll take some practice in front of a mirror to get the timing and the angles just right, but when you do it makes people's eyes pop out of their heads. This is especially fun to do for kids.

It's a little knacky and I feel like you will either find the sweet spot or you won't. I didn't trust the gimmick enough to perform it that much to folks but it was fun to record and play with. I spent probably a good ten hours trying to find a consistent method to ensure it worked every time. By the time I did I found I had to angle my hand in a really unnatural looking way that just wasn't worth it for me. Cool concept, though.

.......Not bad.
But as usual, the product presentation videos always make everything seem super magical .... And then those instructions in Chinese .... but who understands that?

It was a little disappointing once I learned how to do this trick, but it works! It is a quick little trick to do that will blow people's minds. I enjoy pulling it out at a moment's notice and performing it quickly.

I think a bit of artistic licence was used on the promo vid for this. It’s ok but that’s about it

I still need to work with this more. It does make the coin appear quickly, and hand positioning and orientation of the card can really help hide the gimmick. It's not hard to do. My complaint so far is that it hurts to use this. The part of the gimmick you need to deal with is like a dull knife edge (think butter knife), which I found hurt when I used it. I understand why it is the way it is, and I will see if I can find a way to use it that is gentler. I have tried it with a silver dollar and half and both are about the same. So.... it works well for the effect. Maybe I just have tender fingers.

I bought the Magic Tweezers and it came with instructions only in Chinese. I contacted the service department and the immediately emailed them to me. Very good support department. As soon as I learn how to use them I will report.

The gimmick is only as reliable as your finger dexterity. Disappointed that it's not easier to handle.

Disappointed by this product. I knew there is an interesting plot called "Chinese Tweezers". But that needs sleight of hands. I bought this one because I saw it's a gimmick version. However, not only the gimmick is very hard to use, but also angle sensitive(I have to say, supper sensitive). How come people bring up a tweezer to perform the trick but they can't hide the gimmick? I don't think it's a real worker.

I sent mine back. Maybe some people are a bit more ambitious, but I found it difficult to get to the point where I would use it in performance. Suffice it to say, the video makes it look better than it really is. IMHO

The Jury is out on this one.Not for the elderly with arthritis .Extremely difficult to maneuver your fingers to make it look natural. As always with Tenyo products, a video would help.I say save your money.

  • Robert asks: Is this basically the same as chinese tweezers by mario lopez

    • 1. Mark answers: I don't have either, but given that it is based on his trick, and produced with his full permission, I'm guessing it would be safe to assume it is basically the same as "Chinese Tweezers" by Mario Lopez.
    • 2. Steve answers: Mario's trick was sleight of hand; no gimmick. Unless you consider a plastic card with a hole in it a gimmick, the trick involves a coin, long tweezers, and something with a hole in it. In the original, coins were produced through the hole in a Chinese coin.
