Shin Lim is a FISM World Champion of close-up card magic and is the only person in the world to have won America’s Got Talent twice.

Vanishing Inc. is proud to partner with Shin Lim to produce the most stunning and practical close-up pad ever made.

Each pad has been painstakingly crafted by hand in the Netherlands by Vorst & Bosch, a family that has been making furniture for generations.

Limited to just 200 pieces, the pad you receive is signed and numbered, making it a true one-of-a-kind collectors item.

What is Vorst & Bosch?
Vorst & Bosch is a family-run luxury furniture maker based near Eindhoven, in the Netherlands.

One of the great joys of working with the Bosch family has been watching how they work. Perfection is everything to them. Every single pad is made with intense care and attention to detail. More importantly, everything is sourced and produced in a sustainable way. The Bosch family have spent thirty years mastering their art, and now, thanks to the V&B Close-Up Pads, they are going to help us master ours.

Sustainability The Shin Lim V&B Close-up Pad is made entirely from non-animal products. Everything from the “leather” to the glue is vegan.

Customer reviews for V&B Limited Edition Close-Up Mat (Shin Lim Edition)

Top drawer product that literally sets the stage for quality close-up magic. Expensive...but worth it. Love having this.

The quality of this msg is top notch. It is heavy and feels great when handling cards or coins. The material feels long lasting and I really love it. Only complain is the colour though, it seems abit more dark than the red I expected. And the insert cannot be removed like the deluxe V&B pad, if that was an option, this would be a very great product. Nonetheless, really love it.

Very good.
Very soft texture.
Very suitable for card magic show.
When you take it out, you feel that you become very powerful (laughs).
I will buy one if I can.

  • Jose asks: What’s the material of the felt inlay used?

    • 1. Jim answers: The material is called Velvet+. The fabric is super soft, easy to clean and it is fire retardant. The difference between velvet and Velvet+ is that this material is also water-repellent. I hope that helps!
