I have the entire series, and I am always tickled when a new one is released! Not only are the tricks well researched and explained, the narrative writing style puts the reader into the spectator's seat. Many of the tricks you can follow along and maybe even fool yourself! Steinmeyer also has provided great sample scripts and premises, but the real value of these books is providing a great jumping off point for your own versions of the routines. I have used many in my shows over the years, and revisit these books often!
Steinmeyer's series of Impuzzibility booklets is a must-have for anyone with a casual interest in magic to a pro who will appreciate Steinmeyer's depth of knowledge. The effects are simply a lot of fun to work through and the variety on offer is amazing. It took me a while to collect all of them, but if you have the chance, do it. Infinitely better than videos.
