Customer reviews for You and Me and the Devil Makes Three (Volumes 1 and 2)
While I have never met Wilson or seen any of his material, this small collection sheds light on some great thinking. I am happy to see someone in magic who is dedicated yet not pretentious, serious yet not solemn, thus hopefully theatrically sound, profound, and affecting.
The material, presentation, and theory within the notes are deeply personal. Some may find it pricey, unnecessary, or elementary. I think it shows how one makes every conscious decision about everything in his magic. I like the notes overall. It makes me think.
If you are looking for tricks to add to your repertoire, look elsewhere. However, if you wish to use the tricks and essays contained as lessens to examine your own magic, then I believe this is the book for you. It has the potential to change the way you perform. If you allow it, this book will force you to think about the emotional weight and impact your magic has.
