Martin A. Nash, who was one the most popular performers to appear at the Magic Castle's Close-Up showroom, is also considered one of the most entertaining magicians with a deck of cards. But entertainment is only half the story. Martin also created some great magic and techniques. The two techniques he was most proud of were his Infinity Control and his Tabled Faro Shuffle. He often gave private lessons teaching these techniques and swore his students to secrecy. After keeping the true workings of the techniques and routines secret for many years he agreed to release them on two video tapes that were high priced at the time. Now both videos are combined into one DVD that can truly enhance your card magic. Infinity Control: This is a very easy method of controlling cards that can be used with a borrowed deck. This is a great video. I purchased this for the Infinity Control. He teaches some basic effects (which most will yawn at) but if you watch carefully and put on your thinking cap you’ll get a lot out of the first section. Martin promises you can get the tabled faro in 30 minutes. I was within 98% accuracy in that 30 minutes. 98% means there were two or three misses in a shuffle. When I first started, I was getting clumps and large misses, and then somehow, something clicked and things started working a lot better. The next phase of practice will be longer than 30 minutes but when you hit a perfect weave it’s like landing triple 7 on the slot machine. Oh, one last thing; listen to the sound when Nash shuffles the deck...a thing of beauty and the key to tabled faros.
