Flat Pack - magic
Flat Pack Flat Pack Flat Pack Flat Pack Flat Pack Flat Pack

Looking for a new way to produce and vanish a full deck of cards in a visually startling, magical way? Flat Pack is going to be your new best friend.

What Happens?

You pull out a flat, folded up card case from your wallet or pocket. It’s about as thick as a bank or credit card. You hold the flat, folded box over your upturned palm. You drop it onto your hand, and it immediately transforms into a normal card box.

Pretty good, right?

Yeah, but then you pull a full deck of 52 cards out of the box and go into your next routine. That’s not the end though.

When you’re done performing, you just put the cards back in the case, and impossibly fold it back up into the thickness of a credit card, pop it in your wallet, and walk off, every inch the hero.

How Does It Work?

Well, we’re not going to tell you that exactly, but we will say it’s a very, very clever gimmick that you’ll love playing with.

Remember

  • No arts and crafts - what you get is ready to use immediately
  • Resets instantly
  • Easily fits in your pocket or wallet
  • Crystal clear video instructions make this simple to learn
  • Easy and intermediate ways to perform this are explained
  • With some small tweaks, this could be made to work with just about any poker size cards

"This is the ultimate 'Packs Small, Plays Big; effect!" Eric Jones

"I've seen a lot of gimmicks out there. Some are ingenious but fragile. Others are sturdy but limited. Flat Pack is one of the few that has the best of both worlds: strong gimmick for strong effects." Jeremy Griffiths

Clever and visual, but it's a little hard to work in close up as the angles are difficult.

I liked both the product and the download. The download was thorough and intricate but the gimmick is not angle proof, requires a lot of practice and skill, broke after the third use(repairable and I think it's because I was being to rough with it) and I don't see myself using the Flat pack unless it's online over facetime calls or instagram posts or snapchats.

This is a killer effect, the only problem is the angles are quite hard to get around!

When I got the makeup and I saw it.......
I'm just saying that I abandoned it in the drawer of impossible and inreal
magics to be presented, even to an easier audience,
imagine presenting to a more curious audience.
That's all I'm saying.

The trick is very good and fairly easy to do. My only complaint is that when you receive the gimmick it does not open properly and you have to basically take it apart, alter it and put it back together. And if you need up your gimmick is pretty much worthless. It would be 5 stars if it weren't for that. But it's a huge inconvenience and a pain in the @$$

In a sitting performance it's great (if it doesn't get hung up) but standing requires some advanced skills I think. A little out of my wheel house.

okay i don't want to give away anything but i have a few remarks to make. first this gimmick is huge compared to a regular tuck case. if you are doing close up magic don't set this thing down its extremely noticeable. in fact i would say after you pop it out do your slight and reveal the cards don't even let them get a look at it for more then a few seconds. my next remark is holy Christ why did you use neon yellow? white out made a huge difference. if you see it you'll understand what I'm talking about. in fact you may notice the seems in the trailer video are neon yellow. why? its cool thought white out makes it look way better. the size though makes any kind of customizing very nasty looking. as a regular tuck case is quite a bit smaller. so if you want it to look good you better be amazing with crafts. now if you are performing on video its great but my 8 year old saw it for about 4 sec from 5 feet away and asked why it had neon yellow seems before it unfolded. then she wanted to know why it looked larger then my other card cases. so just be aware. a good distraction from the item intended to draw attention will be needed. and this kind of defeats the entire effect. its neat and not a bad idea but now that i have seen it I'm not that impressed. I think it could have been better. for the price tag its not worth it IMO but with a little tweaking it isn't horrible.

Was very excited to use this as it seemed like a great trick for social media, and after my second take using it, the elastic snaps and the gimmick is now completely useless. Poor quality, waste of money, and I feel really let down.

  • Michael asks: Does this come in Red back as well? I don’t see the option to select it on checkout. Thanks

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: It is only available in Blue for now. If this changes, we will have an option to choose the color after you click the green button.
  • T.J. asks: There are several demonstrations on the trailer with a red colored deck. Can we order that color?

    • 1. reed answers: You can customize it if you wish. Super easy
    • 2. SGKYDUYEN answers: The Flat Pack now come in RED color
    • 3. Jason answers: Hi, the red deck used in the trailer is the gimmick that we customised in the explanations. It started off life as the blue gimmick which you will receive. We did this so that you can see how good it still looks once you have customised it

  • Raymond asks: I don't see red? Why do magicians market effects and not use the most common deck ever? Red Bicycle, not Mandolin, not blue. If you want red it looks like arts and crafts is necessary. What a shame not to offer red, I'll pass until then... very disappointed.

    • 1. reed answers: This is extremely easily customizable as i've seen it customized live.

  • Erik asks: Do you have to use the wallet with it, or could you just have the box in your pocket?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: The wallet is optional. Without it, it’s a little harder - but very doable.
    • 2. Michel answers: Bonjour, les cartes ne peuvent pas être dans l'étui de cartes. Il y a une manipulation pour faire croire que les cartes sortent de l'étui ? Merci. Michel Guibert
  • Royce asks: Can a beginner do this trick??

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Anyone can do this trick! It will take practice, but that's part of the fun.
    • 2. George answers: Anyone can mke the box appear but to pull a deck of cards out of will take A LOT of practices. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. I consider myself intermediate and so far I can't pull it off.
  • Owen asks: Does it come with the wallet or do you just use your own? (Normal wallet) Thanks

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: You use your own.
  • Thomas asks: In one of the bullet points,it saya with a little tweaking,it can be used with any poker size deck.Does this imply that is bridge size deck?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: No, it's a poker size deck. We mean you can customise the case to work with whatever poker sized cards you use, if not bikes.
  • Royce asks: I am confused about this trick. Some people are telling me that there are complicated sleights in this trick and you're saying this can be done by a beginner with practice. Which is it? I'm just a beginner so if it's too complicated, I won't be able to do it.

    • 1. SGKYDUYEN answers: You will learn three handlings, one is pretty easy but you will need a table for it.
    • 2. David answers: Can it be performed in the real world surrounded
    • 3. Treven answers: With a table is no problem. Without a table you have a little less than 180 degrees of an angle problem. It is one very very easy sleight, like very easy. So just some practice working it into the routine and your good to go :)
    • 4. George answers: It cannot be performed surrounded. If you just want to make the box appear, that's easy and ayone can do it. However, if you wanna pull a deck of cards out of it in a standing performance it will take a LOT of practice. It's very angle-y and all the heat is on the box. You'll need some good msdirection. A sitting performance looks awsome and is easy to perform with minimal practice.

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: It is not examinable.
  • Anthony asks: I just recieved "Flat Pack" and it won't open all the way. On your video, you say to trim it , but there's no way to trim it without cutting the thread. Am I missing something or do I have a detective one ?
