The Cardiste - magic

Just how much of a card magic geek are you? If the answer to that is a lot, then you're ready to read The Cardiste.

Rusduck was a Pennsylvania police chief who wrote one of magic's most articulate magazines, The Cardiste, before his early death at 49. The Cardiste was a wonderful magazine from the 1950s that was way ahead of its time.

Its author, J. Russell Duck (known to everyone as Rusduck) famously had a passion for tricks that utilized stacked decks. But these weren't your uncle's stacked decks - these were GROUNDBREAKING stacked decks that took a setup into the new millennium.  Rusduck enjoyed clear themes and powerful climax routines, and both the working professional and the amateur card enthusiast will find dozens of enticing card effects here! You probably won't be performing them at your next gig, but you will be toying, experimenting and thinking about them for years to come.

Bound volumes of this magazine have typically cost hundreds of dollars. But at just $15, this new 160-page pocket-paperback edition (perfect bound to the highest order) is a fantastic buy. It features all twelve (original) exciting issues of Rusduck's masterpiece.

The Cardiste includes effects by Rusduck, Alex Elmsley, Charles Hudson, Bill Miesel, Ed Marlo, Gerald Kosky, Milt Kort, John Howie, Tom Ransom, and many more 'names' in magic.
