The Cervon File - magic

Bruce Cervon's reputation as a creator and performer of close-up magic is already firmly established. Laymen know him from appearances with Johnny Carson, Merv Griffin, Dick Cavett, Mike Douglas and on "That's Incredible". Magicians around the world have eagerly studied his writings in magazines such as Cardiste, Epilogue, Genii, Hierophant, Ibidem, Magik, Talisman and his previous book, The Real Work. Bruce's skills have twice earned him the title, Magic Castle Close-up Magician of the Year.

The tremendous amount of material found in this book has been culled from the personal notebooks that Bruce painstakingly kept between 1964 and 1975. These were the early days of the Magic Castle when young Mr. Cevon studied the fine art of close-up magic under the tutelage of the Professor, Dai Vernon. Here is the culmination of eleven years of work by one of Magic's premier student/performers.

Joshua Kaplan

Absolutely worth every penny. Just the trick "perfect speller" kills magicians and laymen alike is worth the price of the book. The original revels elevator plot is in this book, also a fantastic card effect and a great Hofsinzer all backs routine is taught. Overall and great book! Buy it! Love it!
