Please don't buy this.First the Bad:The video instructions are not in EnglishThe subtitles have horrible misspellingsThe Good:Listen/watch the first 6 plus minutes for an intro to the props. This ring is exactly what I have been searching for, it is basically 6" outside diameter and about 5.5" inside diameter. It is lightweight solid aluminum and absolutely seamless (manufacturing explained in video). Two colors of the perfect ribbon are supplied in more than sufficient length. After the intro you can turn off the audio and pretty much ignore the subtitles and just enjoy the excellent, and I mean excellent, video instruction for the fantastic Ring and Rope effects offered. Some feel somewhat familiar, but there are little touches offered that I had not seen before. Towards the end there is a touch on the ring to girth hitch knot that really solves the problem I seem to have with that move! Again, please don't buy this, I want to keep this one all to myself! *****
I must admit I bought this product mainly for the ring, since I already do a Ring and Rope routine, so I was not really interested in the routine in itself.The author spends a little time in the beginning of the tutorial explaining why it was so difficult to produce a seamless ring. That seemed strange to me since seamless rings are pretty standard nowadays (Ninja Rings, Melero Rings, Messado rings, they all feature seamless rings). I suspect this is to justify the little defects this ring actually has.While there's no visible seam, the ring is not perfectly tubular: the creator explains that it has been shaped by hand and it shows, in fact there are some pretty visible dents in the ring and you can clearly spot where the seam is by touch.If I give this ring out to be inspected by a spectator, there's a pretty high chance they will spot these weirdnesses too and I think this defies the purpose of hiding the seam.Too bad for a "Deluxe" product.
