My Suitcase Table arrived today. It is beautiful and well made. The word Magic and the card suits are actually cut into the wood. The Chrome stand screws into the heavy Flanges on the Suitcase and Floor Base very easily. The Floor base (with casters) and the Chrome stand fit nicely on the Suit Case . Unfortunately that leaves little room for any props in the case. Now I can carry my entire act and table into a show with just one trip. A medical bag for my Magic Props and my Suitcase Table to perform on.
Pros: looks beautiful. The words and suits are carved in both the suitcase and the base. Looks very professional and beautiful. The lid open to 90degree and can stay in that position. It is ideal for doing things and using the suitcase to put your props away.It goes up to a little below my waist. I'm 5'6". I think the height is perfect. There is a piece of metal that attaches to the base and one that attached to the suitcase and the two metal pieces fits loosely into each other. You can spin the suitcase 360 freely and easily although I don't know why you would want to do this. The downside to this is that it is stable but the whole thing can easily be knocked down. It does not weigh much. You can use the top of the suitcase to do magic but you will have to be careful as it will move around so if you are for example trying to lay down two cards as one, you would have to be extra careful. What I am saying is that you can put a close up pad on top and use it casually but it wobbles. It is good for setting things on top.Cons: It would be nice if it was sturdier. It would be nice if the height was adjustable. Just like you, I thought about putting a close-up pad on top and using it as working place. Really not sturdy enough to be doing any serious routines on it.I am still happy with the purchase; it looks really nice and professional, you can assemble it at your car (will take 10 seconds), put your props inside and roll it to your venue and use the top to place some props. Again, I probably wouldn't be doing anything like matrix effect or cups and balls (too wobbly.) I would recommend it. I think you will be happy with the purchase as long as you expect it to be moderately flimsy, but definitely good enough to put stuff in before and during the show, and looks good.
