Lovingly referred to as “Old Ironsides,” the USS Constitution is one of the most iconic and dependable longships in US Naval History. These delightful Old Ironsides Playing Cards are a fully-customized tribute to both the ship itself, as well as the legendary “Dreadnaught” series that was produced during WWI by the USPCC.

This might sound a little cryptic, but my reason for purchasing this deck was as research. I have my own project relating to a sailing ship with historical meaning and I wanted to gain some insight into how this deck came about and what the finished product looks like. Beyond that, it's another oddity for my collection of decks, and is pretty much in the upper half of my favourites. I wouldn't class it as exceptional when compared with the best work of Ellusionist or Theory11, but not everyone collects decks for the same reason, and design wise, it's worth collecting. Handling qualities are quite good, but I doubt if anyone uses this as their EDC, as indeed I wouldn't. But having said that, the addition of signal flags is a cause of fascination for many people, and it sets a challenge for me to exceed with my own deck...
