Combo Cups & Balls (Aluminium) - magic

For those that like to add that little bit extra to their standard Cups and Balls routines, this aluminium combo set includes two regular cups and one gimmicked.

Perfectly able to be used for a standard routine, the gimmicked cup, (commonly referred to as a Chop Cup), has a magnet inside and when a magnetic ball is used, the ball will stick inside to the top until the cup is set down with a little bump to the table, which releases the ball. Used to show no ball beneath the cup, with a magical appearance of the ball at will when the cup is lifted after the 'bump'.

Package includes:

  • 2 x 'regular' spun aluminium cups
  • 1 x 'gimmicked' spun aluminium cup (Chop Cup)
  • 4 x red crochet knit balls

Customer reviews for Combo Cups & Balls (Aluminium)

I picked up this set alongside the masterclass video from Jamy Ian Swiss, and I'm very happy with my purchase. The cups are simple, but look professional, and will work perfectly well for me. I might upgrade to a fancier appearing set down the road once I've come closer to mastering them, but these were perfect for my needs for now.
The crochet balls feel really nice, though since one is gimmicked and somewhat loud when shaken and definitely not examinable by a spectator, I recommend picking up an extra normal crotchet ball or two (in case one gets lost). I believe the size used is the 3/4 inch ones.

Closest thing to a negative for me is a lack of a bag to carry them in, but a 5 dollar purchase fixed that right away.

I think this set is best for anyone who wants to learn the classic cups and balls without spending a ton, but wants a professional look that cheaper plastic cups can't provide.

I’m not sure what I expected but the cups work good as cups but don’t buy this because you also want a chop cup with it, it does not work AT ALL. You can’t tip the cup sideways let alone upside down. It does not stick WHATSOEVER. For $20 it’s a okay cup and balls set but I cannot for the life of me get this nasty metallic, led smell off of the cups. It makes your hands smell that way too. I think next time I’ll just spend the 50 to get a regular cup and balls set since that’s all this was as the chop cup is useless.
