Cube in Bottle Project - magic
Cube in Bottle Project Cube in Bottle Project Cube in Bottle Project Cube in Bottle Project Cube in Bottle Project Cube in Bottle Project

A project more than a decade in the making, the secret behind one of magic’s greatest mysteries has finally been revealed.

David Strykers “Mystery Cubed” bottles have been a perennial sell-out since the first day they were launched. Magicians around the world cannot get enough of these impossible objects. They are the perfect addition to any magic room or accessory for any office.

Well now, along with help from Taylor Hughes, David Stryker is finally going to teach you his closely-guarded secrets behind making your own “Cube in Bottle Project” and how to use them for two jaw-dropping effects. This project is truly the pinnacle of cube Magic.

The 3 Major Secrets Unlocked in the “Cube in Bottle Project”:

How to Put a Rubik’s Cube in a Bottle
You’ll learn how to create your own impossible “cube in bottle” with an ingenious method that is surprisingly easy. Once you know how it’s done, it will only take you about 15-20 minutes to create a truly impossible souvenir that you, your clients or your friends and family will cherish forever. "Cube in Bottle Project" comes with all the tools you need to get started. And, when you want to make more, you’ll be amazed at how inexpensive it is to do so.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The moment about 40 seconds into the trailer is just a fun visual metaphor. A visual penetration of a cube into a bottle is NOT part of this project.

A Truly Breathtaking Mixed Cube Prediction
Known as “Reflections”, this is the same routine Taylor Hughes has used to close his professional act for nearly 5 years in everywhere from the Magic Castle to his virtual magic shows. You start by introducing a “cube in bottle.” Several members of the audience are then invited to mix up another cube. You then take the cube back and, impossibly, the pattern matches the one on the cube in the bottle. You can then hand everything to the audience members to examine or your client to keep forever if you’d like. Full details and performance rights included.

You can check out a full performance in the second video above.

The Mind-Boggling Bottle Solve
This is a stunning visual that will leave your audience’s jaws on the floor. While instantly solving a cube in your hands is pretty incredible. Doing it while it’s locked inside a bottle is truly a miracle-level effect. While this is the only time where you can’t hand the bottle out when you’re done. Don’t let that deter you. The visuals are phenomenal and the angles allow this to be performed in everything from in-person parlor shows to magic videos on TikTok or Instagram.

What’s in the Box?

Every “Cube in Bottle Project” comes with one bottle and a custom toolkit. We also teamed up with the King of cube magic Henry Harrius to provide you with three RD Regular Cubes (the best cubes for magic available today). You’ll be ready to start making your first impossible bottle right away.

“Cube in Bottle Project” is a must for anyone looking to leave their audience with a permanent memory of the feeling of magic you provided them. You can also, of course, use the skills learned to create unbelievably unique gifts for everyone in your life.

NOTE: While the performance of “Reflections” from the Magic Castle uses an "RD360" from Henry Harrius to complete the effect, Taylor used a different method for more than a year. That method is taught for anyone who doesn’t own the RD360 gimmick. Additionally, if you'd like to be set up to perform both "Reflections" OR the "Visual Solve", you'll need two bottles. Affordable refills are available here.

Love this! I was so proud of myself when I completed my first.

The tutorial is great, the instruction is very clear, nothing rushed and will take you step by step through everything.

Plus you really do get everything you need to build your cube in bottle.

The satisfaction from just doing that is worth the purchase but actually using the bottle in a routine is brilliant and although I do a totally different cube match myself to the one taught, having the cube in bottle elevates it to another level and is worth the purchase for anyone doing a cube match effect.

This is what I like! A true worker! True shared secrets. There is so much magic in this project! Honestly, this is great work! I would recommend to use not a white side of the solved cube in insta-solve, cause white is perfectly remembered. Avoid white.

Okay this is great. first of all, putting the cube in the bottle is fun. Then using it in tricks. Sometimes I just show this to people and they are blow away. The sky is the limit. This is taught really well. I really like the prediction aspect of the trick where the audience mixes up the cube then it matches the cube in the bottle it is insane. This is so strong that it has gotten me a repeat booking. This is a worker and a solid closer. The ideas on here are actually worth the price of the effect. If you combine this with Rubik's dream by Henry Harris you can do so much. I have both off his devices plus his rd cubes which I highly suggest you get more than one. I am not the best at cube magic the stickers are cool too. Vanishing inc knocked it out of the park with is one. The kit you get has everything you need and the online instructions are top knock so get this.

Amazing effect and very detailed teaching. The fact that all (absolutely all) the material needed to put the cube in the bottle (+ 3 cubes provided) is only adding to the value of the product. One of the purchase that I'm the most satisfied with since a loooong time!

The Cube in the bottle project is now my permanent closer. I use it in conjunction with venom cube, so I match the cubes, then show it matches the cube in the bottle. I was a bit cautious about putting the bottle together, judging by the review, but it took me way shorter than I expected, taking only 45 minutes. I’m a big cube guy, so I use cube in bottle by Henry harrius, as a way to ‘demonstrate’ how I put a cube in a bottle. This is an amazing product, well done Taylor hughes, David Stryker and Vanishing Inc!

This is A+ material. Been performing for a few months now and the reactions are incredible. The great thing about this effect is that you have to learn from the ground up, there are no shortcuts. So your first time out of the gate the handling is better than it would be with other similar products. Can't recommend this enough.

This is a closer. It's incredibly powerful, opens up doors for genuine presentations about the pursuit of wonder in day-to-day life, it's as close to perfect as a routine like this could aim for. I'm tempted to leave a one star review because I don't want anyone else doing this, but can't be that disrespectful to the creators who have made such a masterpiece. I'm not saying you "have" to get this, I'm just saying that if it feels like something you'd like to do then you definitely should. I'm closing my shows with it, it's that good.

This is one of the best produced and most compelling effects I have ever purchased. It's a bit challenging to prepare but the payoff is well worth the effort. One person who has seen me perform many times exclaimed that it was the best effect he's ever seen.

This is a fantastic addition for any parlor show. The tutorial and instructions are great and the construction is actually super simple. I look forward to building my own appropriate script to this effect as this definitely has a place in my show. Thanks to the creators for your contribution to cube magic !

Before reading this review, add this to cart and check out first, then thank us later! Now, for the review!

If I can give it a rating, it would definitely be beyond Excellent! I've been waiting for this project to be re-released for the longest time and fell in love with the routine ever since I saw Taylor's Chasing Wonder performance. Just a bit of background information, I have been performing cards and coins for the longest time (cards more so), and recently got into Rubik's Cube magic. That was when I started to get on YouTube to watch various performances and found out about Taylor Hughes'.

The box is beautiful, technically they could have released this as a download without any of the tools at a lower price but after receiving the box, I finally understood why they didn't want to take that approach. EVERYTHING required to build the cube in the bottle is inside the box and I mean EVERYTHING.

You will receive the tools required to put your cube in the bottle. You will receive x3 Henry Harrius' RD cubes, a bottle, x2 tools and a towel (it will be explained once you watch the video). You will also get the TV rights. The price is definitely worth it as including the tools and bottles and cubes would be already half of what you're paying, and the rest goes into the routine and learning how to put the cube in the bottle. I might add it also proves to be a nice gift if you wish to build one and gift it away.

You will be taught 2 tricks (3 if you include how to put a cube in the bottle because it looks impossible as Hell). The first is a "bottle solve" and the second is "Reflection". The former is basically solving the cube while it is inside the bottle, of which you CANNOT hand it out for inspection. The second is "Reflection", the routine in Taylor Hughes' Chasing Wonder whereby a mixed up cube from the audience matches the one inside the bottle. This can be handed out for inspection and given out as a souvenir if you wish to.

David Stryker's instructions getting the cube inside the bottle is extremely thorough and clear. He gives a good guide on how it is to be done and teaches you a step-by-step process. You will need 30mins or so to do it. It gets easier each time. I suggest getting the refills as well because the price is worth it and you may want to stock up the bottle in case you wish to give them out as gift.

Some of the more common questions will be answered in this section of the review. As mentioned in the description, Taylor uses a separate Henry Harrius' RD 360 as part of his performance, but this is NOT necessary as he will teach you how to perform without this. In fact, he has been performing WITHOUT the RD 360 for 3 years and the method will be taught.

You do NOT need to know how to solve the cube although it would be nice if you do. This is so that if someone tries to mess up your cube (which shouldn't happen if you have proper audience management), you can easily solve it and put it back into the pattern as the one in the bottle at the end of the show. You do NOT need to know any stack, although again it would be nice if you did.

And to end off this review, if you haven't ordered it yet, you should!

If you take your time and follow the instructions, it's not hard putting the cube in the bottle; however, don't rush it. Also, when used with 360, it is an excellent trick. I suggest getting this trick and 360. Together, they are a winning combination.

I am not a fan of DIY products, but in this case it is absolutely necessary because the design of the cube placed in the bottle must fit the performers' routine. That design requires some thought and planning. If you already have a routine using, , say, Venom Cube or Rubicon, Cube in a Bottle offers another way to sell it and that appealed to me. David's explanation on how to put a cube into the bottle is very clear. If I can do it, anyone can. Great product, great packaging, great value.

This particular project was my introduction to Rubik's cube magic. Starting from zero, I learned the secrets of the Cube in Bottle project and spent lots of time getting my head wrapped around the concepts, the routine, and the methods. The time was well worth it as the effect is so impossible to the spectators. It is now one of my closing pieces to my show and this comes with my highest recommendation!

wow, to start with the box is really nice and everything in place for you to create your own cube in bottle
the instruction are well explained and clear
it did take longer than expected but with practice it will become easier and quicker
the choice of cube configuration in the bottle is up to you so be prepared to think long and hard before you commit yourself
can't fault it

Great effect. Nicely thought out and will work into my current Rubik's routine to add in an extra element. The giveaway option is great and reasonably priced for refills. Will make for a nice upsell for my high end clients. Everything is nicely packaged and being provided the tools is great so you don't have to hunt around to find the right things. The video instruction is great. Do yourself a favor and pick up the Rubik's Dream 360 gimmick while you are getting this. After seeing the improvement to the routine using it I regret not getting it the first time. Looks like I'll have to make another order.

This is well done! The instructions are easy to follow and if you are the least bit handy and like DIY projects you should have absolutely no problems.

I love the shape of the bottles and purchased extras.

The supplied Henry Harrius RD Regular cube is easy to place in the bottle. But be aware that if you want to place other types of Rubik’s cubes from different manufacturers in the bottle the project could be A LOT more difficult due to the differences in construction of various cubes. Took me 3 hours to place a stickerless Yulong cube in the bottle and I had to use quite a bit of ingenuity to get it done!

I like the look of stickered cubes in the bottle. The stickerless cubes do not look as good to me.

Highly recommended!

Love: 1) EVERYTHING you need to get started is included, including the tools 2) great video instructions cover all the nuances of building 3) two full presentations included in video so you can see different styles of performing. Minor: performance as shown requires separate gimmick; intro a bit chatty. Still a solid 5 stars -- I'll be having fun with this for many years! Just gave a homemade cube in bottle to my son for his birthday.

This is the ultimate cube routine! Your audience will never see it coming. This is an absolute wonderful closer for the show! And a closer it is, because that is all your audience is going to be looking at and thinking about once they've seen the finale of the routine.

What a great project! Instructions were clear and easy to follow. This checked all my boxes. Relatively easy to build, powerful effect, and a great showpiece for my office. I’d recommend picking up a couple more RD Cubes and bottles (directly from Vanishing, Inc) just for the fun of building it as well as for having a second for the bottle solve. It took me only about 40 minutes the first time and 20 minutes the second time. You will have to go out and get some very easy to find “stuff” to help build it for a couple bucks. I was pleasantly surprised that the tools needed were actually included! Packaging is beautiful and very well protected for shipping. A great suggestion was also included in the video for traveling with the cube in bottle too and from gigs to protect it. All around I found the quality, the instructions, and the routines were all top notch and well worth the price. Also very satisfying to have built a great looking conversation piece. While not necessary, I’d also recommend the Rubiks Dream 360 cube by Henry Harius.

This is the new closer for my show. It is absolutely devastating to audiences. Please note that I have altered the handling somewhat so that the effect plays out like this: I display the mixed cube in the bottle, I hand out the loose cube to be mixed, I show that the patterns match and then solve the loose cube with one hand. Then I say, "Now everything is as it should be....except that now this cube (referring to the loose cube) no longer matches this cube (referring to the cube in bottle). I then take the cube in bottle and shake it with one hand, solving it (as you saw in the trailer) and give this bottle away to the person who hired me or the VIP of the group. I bought several replacement bottles so that all I have to do is put another cube in those bottles and I'm off to the races again. I just love this effect and cannot give it enough praise. Highly recommended!

I am amazed with the routines and explanations provided. The trick can last for many minutes and is definitely worth the money. Although, I wasn't quite sure what I was expecting in the box but I was a little disappointed with what I got. Luckily, I already had everything I needed already.

I am impressed at the creativity and ingenuity that has gone into this illusion. Also I'm impressed with the cleverness of the entertaining routines authored by David Stryker and Taylor Hughes. Combined with Rubik's Dream 360 this is a GEM. The audience feels like they had a hand in the climactic outcome. This will be an every one of my shows from now on. Probably my closer.

Just finished watching the Cube in Bottle Project tutorial. The video is in-depth and well produced. They hit in just about every topic and tip you'll need. Of course, the main point of this project is learning how to get a cube inside a bottle, and I'm happy to say that it seems as though this is something that most people will be able to do fairly easily. They provide you with everything you need to accomplish this and the tutorial is clear and easy to follow. The routines provided are great and there is certainly potential to get creative and make this your own. Packaging is also great. Well done. Recommended.

Absolutely brilliant and magical. I watched the trailer trying to see the switch because I thought that was how it was done and could not see a thing. Using Harry Harrius' cube was brilliant and I would definitely use that switch as it is seamless.

I went from watching the video to getting my first cube in a bottle in just over a half-hour. I'm planning on ordering extra parts just to build more!

This project is amazing from start to finish.

The passion David and Taylor have for this work is undeniable. So much so I'm certain it's a crime against nature to employ their lessons unjustly. David's explanation of creating this impossible object is clear, impressive, and thoroughly detailed. Taylor's routine is nothing short of magical and he covers the handling of if easily enough for me to follow with very minimal experience with cube magic.

All together, this project was one of the best purchases I made in 2021 and I can't wait to explore the doors it has opened. Bravo to all involved and many thanks for choosing to share it.

I love this! Following the simple (but detailed) instructions, I made my first cube in bottle in about 45 minutes, and I've performed my routine about 6 or 7 times since I got it. (I should clarify that my routine is basically Taylor's routine but with a different presentation.) I recently received my order of additional bottles and I look forward to creating some more cubes.

Admittedly, it’s been a rough road for nearly two years now. With the pandabear forcing me to cancel my first ever theatrical show, that I finally had the courage, in January 2020, to book a space for showcasing in June of the same year, my connection to magic was well and shattered.

Recently, a dear friend asked me to perform something for his husband’s 50th birthday party, and I shot him down. Still, he planted the seed, and just a few days later, this release hit my email inbox. Everything changed on a dime.

This is a *BEAUTIFUL* routine! The connection and drama it provides has leveled the room each performance, of which I’ve shared my third just hours ago. I am over the moon thrilled with this absolute gem of magic!

The instructions are spectacular. Clear, concise, and well filmed, it has become a total snap to build these bottles, which I’ve taken to giving away afterwards. A tremendous souvenir for your audiences. The routine instructions are also top notch, and terrific methods are shared for getting to the finale stage of the matching cube. It’s rare that my scripting will carry many elements from the original, shared routine, but there is so much in this script that’s perfect, it’s really hard NOT to use many of the technical lines about the cube, it’s history, and it’s 43 quintillion permutations.

This is the one though. This is the release that brought my brain back to magic again, after feeling shattered for far too long. I can’t recommend it enough. Well, WELL done. Thanks so much for sharing this one with the community!!!

I really like this project. This will take some DIY, but this comes with EVERYTHING you need so that you can do exactly what you see right away. No waiting or hunting down things in stores. The download is very thorough and walks you through the magic and secrets. Then you go step by step in easy explanations on how to make your own Cube In Bottle. I cannot wait to perform this piece of beautiful magic with a great message. I recommend this if you like to make your own props and gimmicks. Best of all because from the moment you open the box and watch the videos, you can DIY your very own Cube in Bottle without having to leave to purchase anything else. Well except for food if you get hungry. I really enjoyed watching the download from start to finish. I highly recommend this project.

This is really top of the line magic. Although it takes some work to set up, the tutorial is brilliant. It comes with EVERYTHING you need including the cubes, bottle, screw driver and other components. This is not a technically difficult effect but it plays huge! It can be combined with other effects to create a really wonderful routine. I'm not at the level where I can afford giving out cubes in a bottle, but for those professionals pulling in the big bucks this is an incredible souvenir. Definitely add this to your repetoire, you won't be disappointed!

I never post reviews, well almost never but thought I would chime in on this one.
I usually get disappointed when I order higher priced magic items because I find they are sub-standard in quality or lacking in some form or another, but this is not the case with this Cube In Bottle Project.
This “project”…to start, is wonderfully packed in a superbly designed box that keeps all the goodies safe and in place so nothing gets lost or damaged, and the box is gorgeous to boot. Now why is this important at all, well when I spend decent money on an effect, I love the fact that the creator(s) spent a little time on making sure that my reception and initial visual appeal of the item is pleasing, makes you feel like your purchase of their item was important to them and you spent your money wisely. Second, all the items in the package are of nice to excellent quality and the fact that they include 3 of the RD’s is amazing…way to give value to someone’s purchase…good job guys!!!
And lastly, the instructional video is absolutely fantastic and nothing is left out, finally a video that includes everything you see and more from the demo video included…again, well done!! The video is engaging, clear and nothing is left out. I felt like they were teaching slowly and clearly and they did it in a pleasant manner almost like they were enjoying sharing their knowledge…very pleasant.
One of the few items I would say I purchased that is ALMOST perfect…yes ALMOST..this has one little thing that was not included that I do not understand that could have been, and that would have made it absolutely perfect in my opinion….a small portion of the “paste” would have been greatly appreciated. To have such a complete and well designed product that has everything but that and now I have to run to find this stuff is annoying considering all is there to start upon receiving the ‘project”….but I digress.

Do not hesitate if you are on the fence about buying this, worth every penny they are asking!

Great Tutorial. The package gives you everything you need to create your own cube-in-bottle. The performance is very inspiring.

This is the most satisfying DIY project I've done for magic. Really fun.

Fantastic product, tutorial is very well explained. I personally love that you put the cube in the bottle yourself, it gives a real sense of satisfaction as well as allowing you to place in the 'pattern' of your preference. Reflections is a beautiful routine and whilst the solve is not fully angle proof its pretty angle proof and will work perfectly in a stage/parlour environment. Its not a replacement for cube in bottle by henry harrius as the two are very different effects in my opinion, I have both and will be using both. If you loike cube magic then this is a must have

Perhaps I am the only person who actually attempted to put a cube in the bottles provided., but it is not (with an emphasis on the NOT) as easy as depicted in the video. To this end, I purchased extra bottles and cubes to allow for screw ups in case. So I am less than as enthusiastic as all of those giving this 5 stars. The routine presented here is excellent and for all intents easy to do with outstanding results. It may even be better than the Harrius Cube in Bottle. The major problem with this is the tutorial on execution and instruction for putting the cube in the bottle. The first problem is that the instructional video can be much more comprehensive with close ups views of some of the actions. Some of this is glossed over without clear video and close up shots. There are even sections that have him showing a camera that is not even in the video. It is much more difficult that it appears here. The second major problem with this trick is that the shape of the bottle used is convex at the bottom. Therefore, the cube does not sit flat on the bottom of the bottle. This makes it nearly impossible to assemble the cube without it falling apart due to it "rocking" on the bottom. All in all it is a great routine, well explained except for the construction of the cube in the bottle which is basically why I bought this. Perhaps a flat bottom bottle would make this 5 stars.

  • Matthew asks: I am relatively new to cube magic. What algorithm do you use for reflections? I’ve seen a couple but they don’t appear as mixed as I would like. Thanks.

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: You can use any algorithm, it can even be a random mix as long as you remember how to get into it.
