Can be used with a myriad of materials - from chain links to mouth coils - and with a variety of effects. It makes a perfect finish for a ring-on-string routine: you can thread a string through a ring four times then pull it right off! There are variations that require gimmicks and others that are entirely impromptu.
The End-of-my-Rope trick is not self-working, but it's not difficult. It's in the easy to medium range, depending on the variation you choose. A person with no sleight-of-hand chops can do some variations with just a few hours of practice.

This is a great effect, the visual is perfect and I was hoping to work it into my regular rope routine, but it's not quite as practical as the average rope routine. Whereas much rope magic just uses the ropes involved, this requires stealing in and ditching out a special one-use gimmick to show all the strands being cut. As such it's really only suited for one-off platform type magic, not closeup and walk around.One alternative handling on the DVD uses a long paper streamer and this is in my opinion a much better application of the method, making it easier to carry more of the necessary bits and also less bulky & complicated to ring in/out.
