This is excellent, comes in a nice presentation box. i was fooled when i first opened this, thinking how can this work, its just a purse, but its really cool once you no the secret, very good quality, a very good video production, video play time just over an hour and sixteen minutes, very easy to use. So Different to whats out there, This is an original peice off enjoyable magic, and you can even hand the pouch out to the spectators for examination, if asked.
This coin purse is absolutely excellent! I recommend it to any person that uses coins. No matter the skill level this purse is for you. I will definitely be buying a couple more of these for my other coins.
I'm not a 'coin guy' but thought I'd learn a few things to break up things with card magic. Mostly, the trick Silver Surfer got me motivated. In any case, I'm really enjoying the teaching. It's done very well and gives a recap of the moves made after the explanation so you can see things from the magician's perspective which I always appreciate. The design of the purse is really clever and as advertised not gimmicked. My only dissatisfaction is that even though the coin purse is leather, it still looks really cheap to me. To me, it looks like cheap vinyl. I wish they had offered it in a nicer, classier looking leather, possibly Crazy Horse Leather. I would have paid more to get a nicer looking product. I had also purchased the FPS Coin Wallet (in Crazy Horse leather) along with this and I like the look of the FPS but with the design of the Pocket Portal. I hope they offer more (and nicer) leather options in the future.
I was totally underwhelmed by this item and even tried to return it. The quality of the material and workmanship is fine but the leother is very stiff such that it does not retain the coin which falls out of its own accord when performing the steal move. I even noticed ‘flashes’ when Sam was demonstrating certain moves. For me it’s only benefit is that it is totally examinable for those who feel the need or lack audience management skills. I am a huge Eric Jones fan, admire his work and have a number of his DVDs. This is what influenced my purchase and I have been disappointed. For me, FPS coin wallet all day long. I have both versions and it provides the perfect set up for Charming Chinese Challenge. Not ‘examinable’ but in my experience used wisely as a utility (and not a trick wallet) my audience have no reason to even suspect it.I was prompted to write this review having found Pocket Portal in the back of a drawer in all its original packaging if anyone is interested!????
