It's fair to say Peter Pelikaan is an internet sensation. His face never appears in his videos, they look homemade, his voice is rough, and his background is a mystery. Yet his videos have gone viral, and have astounded the biggest names in magic. We reached out and have been in communication with Peter, and have developed an exclusive working arrangement for some of his best effects. We predict LOTS of you will be big fans of Peter's brand of magic.
This download combines five of our favourite Peter Pelikaan effects. Purchase all five effects in this download and save over $10:
Important: Peter Pelikaan's face never appears in his videos, they look homemade, his voice is rough, and his background is a mystery. Peter teaches fast, and doesn't speak much during the tutorials, but they are clear enough assuming that you already know standard moves such as false counts, displays and, on the very odd occasion, lapping. The camerawork isn't fancy by any means, but his astounding magic speaks for itself.
Warning: this is a collection of nothing short of Mad Scientist insanity. It's the kind of stuff that scary monsters are built from;the ones that keep you from sleeping at night. Crazy counts, surprises and plots created by a man who has ZERO compassion for the minds he melts in the process. If you think you've seen everything there is to see in the art of card magic, and that you're hip to historical methodology you're sadly mistaken! This is the kind of stuff that would make Vernon giggle out loud and Bannon weep. Crazy-Brilliant Thinking with Off-Setting Methods to support!
Is anyone else desperate to see who the man behind the voice is? I want to know so that I can go and shake his hand. I have bought every single Peter Pellikaan download and each one somehow gets better and better. I have learnt a huge amount from him, not only card tricks but how to structure and think about magic to make it more amazing and more fooling. This package is the best introduction to Peter Pellikaan's work. I really recommend it.
Peter is a friend for over 35 years and I am very pleased that he now get the appreciation that he deserves. Although, "the undergound" knew his capacities already for a very long time.Danny Crauwels (aka Maigret)
The thinking behind these tricks is insane! I love it, they certainly aren’t the easiest tricks to pull off, but they are so much fun and look so incredible, that it will totally be worth the time spent practicing!
Wow! After seeing the effects in this video from Peter, I was absolutely fooled. He is very clever when it comes to combining sleight of hand and gaffed cards. That being said, if you would like to learn some fun packet tricks that you will do sometimes (they are not for every situation), you will have a lot of fun with this download and the material on it. Just FYI - you may have to go out and buy a supply or two to help you make each "packet".
I tend to think of myself as an educated consumer, and tend to think things through very thoroughly before making purchases. This was one of those exceptions. I felt the preview was so visual, and was in a "treat yo' self" mood, so I decided to impulse purchase this. And frankly, I was disappointed.I'll start with the positive. For one thing, the preview is technically accurate, and if your performance area fits, this is a clever and visual collection. Difficulty isn't hard at all, at best I would call this 'intermediate' difficulty. And while the instructions aren't wildly verbose (about 22 minutes for all the tricks, so make of that what you will), it's enough to learn it properly. Now the parts that I don't like (and really, it's just one point, but it's so strong that it knocks this down to 2 stars): this is quite impractical to use in a 'real world performance setting'. You'll note that all the performances are from a very limited video angle, and relies heavily on some angle- and context-dependent sleights (I can say lapping, right? It's in the description), which I believe won't fit for most performers. So in summary: super visual, super clever, easy enough to do, but not practical in most situations.
Way over priced, Twenty six pound and fourty pence for a terrible video, with a play time off only just over twenty two minutes play time, for a terrible, I mean a terrible video production in every way possable, no effort was made what so ever to give this video some credit, including terrible lighting, Why? and someone keeps on sniffing, at least they could of edited that out, and lut in some decent lighting too, Surley? This video is not at all enjoyable to watch at all, plus you have to lap the cards, so you are restricted when lapping cards, if your a pro you cant do table to table or walk around, you can only do this sitting down, even if you are doing this sitting down, you cannot do this surrounded either, to me lapping cards doesnt give any card tricks a magicall feel either. Plus a trip to the DIY store, if you want to make the gimmick cards, The video is so so bad, in the bin it went.
