A card is selected, signed, and lost into the pack. You place your lighter, the same one you’ve been using throughout the show, into their hands and have them concentrate.

“Would you be impressed if I could make your card appear under the lighter? What if I could make it appear inside the lighter? What if I could make it become the lighter?”

When they open their hands, the lighter is gone.

Despite feeling the weight of a lighter just seconds earlier, they’re now holding a folded piece of paper that looks and feels like the lighter they were just holding. They unfold it to find their signed card inside.

You don’t even need to use a real lighter. In fact, for most of the performances, Craig uses the power of suggestion to make the lighter feel completely real. Craig also teaches a switch if you want to use a real lighter.

I just got my cards today—along with the red lighters I ordered from Amazon—and the cards are absolutely fantastic. If you think the illusion looks good in the demo videos, just wait until you have the cards in your hands. It looks even better in person. I also really like the fact that all of the cards are 2H. That means you don’t have to worry about choosing cards with enough white space for the effect, potentially leaving a bunch of cards in the deck that you’ll never use. It’s a small detail, but a very smart choice. The one downside: you only get 40 cards—20 of each gimmick. A lot of other effects that require refills come with a full 52-card deck, so 40 feels a little light for the price. Hopefully the refill packs will come with a full deck. Even better, I’d love to see the two gimmicks sold as separate refill decks. That way, you could stock up on whichever version you perform more often instead of potentially using up one gimmick while having half a pack of the other sitting unused. Overall, though, the cards themselves are excellent, and the illusion is even more convincing in person than it appears on video.
