A prediction is clearly shown with a gift card attached to it. A spectator selects a card, signs it and returns it to the pack. After showing the prediction does not match, the performer detaches the gift card and reveals the prediction that's been there since the beginning has transformed into their signed selected card.

This is a simple effect: The face of a playing card that’s paper clipped to a cardboard “gift card” (you need to provide the rationale for this) is openly shown to the audience as a prediction. A card is then “freely selected” by a spectator, but it does not match the clipped card. The magician unclips the prediction, turns it over, and it now magically matches the selected card. So, what you get here is a card switch made possible via a gimmick, one that is very deceptive and can be adapted to items other than a gift card. The changed card is examinable at the end, and that’s where all the heat lies. What’s particularly nice about this card change is the fact that the entirety of a card’s face is seen both before and after the change, and the gift card is a bit smaller than a playing card. The physical properties you receive are inexpensive, but this is a good secret to have.
