"Super Showdown" is a strong, entertaining and interactive routine based on Nick Trost's "Showdown"—a self-working version of the Ten Card Poker Deal. It is a fun and intriguing gambling demonstration that anyone can do.

The four-phase routine works like this:

  1. After shuffling the deck, the magician deals out five poker hands and beats all four other players with a full house.
  2. Five new hands are dealt. Any spectator may trade their face down hand for the performers. Despite these fair rules, and the fact that all the spectators end up with better hands than the first round, the magician still wins the round.
  3. Next, in a head-to-head duel with one other person, the magician allows the spectator to select their hand from 10 face-down cards. Yet, the magician still wins.
  4. Two stud poker hands are dealt and the spectator is allowed to select any of the face-up cards. They may switch whole cards and can even exchange hands if they want. Yet, the magician still wins.

"Super Showdown" comes with special gimmick cards that can be used with any ordinary deck of Bicycle playing cards.
