The Trilogy is a 3 DVD box set containing over 6 hours of card tricks, flourishes and everything else Dan and Dave have dreamt up with a deck of cards. It is a body of work that spans over ten years of study and practice. You'll find everything from a simple one-hand shuffle to an eight packet flourish display along with never before seen tricks so visual you won't believe it's all done with a normal deck. Plus you'll discover over 100 unique sleights that can be adapted and finessed to your own repertoire.

Dan and Dave have been at the forefront of their craft since they were only fourteen years old. They have helped mold a new genre of card magic, a style visually rich and direct. Their style and originality has received acclaim from such megastars as David Blaine and David Copperfield. When they were only 17 years old they performed alongside Guy Hollingworh, Paul Gertner, Chad Long and Bill Malone at the first MAGIC Live convention in Las Vegas, and were the only performers to receive a standing ovation. They were among the first to start a movement with card flourishes, also known as XCM or Extreme Card Manipulation with the release of The Dan and Dave System in 2004.

This collection contains a vast array of magical effects, flourishes and everything else their minds have conjured up. From beginner to professional, these DVD's contain something for everyone. Every effect is broken down step by step for a seamless learning experience.

These guys are great. Sometimes I feel like they have no problem showing every detail so precisely because they are aware it takes dozens of hours of practice.

If you want to get into cardistry get this set.

As a beginner I find disc 3 to be the best starting point. Dan and Dave are the most professional teachers and performers of cardistry hands down.

What can I say that hasn't already been said by every reviewer above? This is a must-have set for card magicians and flourishes alike, with classic moves that have cemented D&D in the history and culture of the art form. Effects and flourishes graduate from beginner to advanced difficulties, but never fail to impress at any level of skill.

I believe The trilogy was created with a purpose. Their way of teaching is absolutely flawless, even with more difficult flourishes such as pandora, the teaching is clear and manageable. The fact that the Collection is split into section makes it easier to navigate through the project and go exactly where you want to go. If you want to review a particular trick or sleight this is easily accomplished and thus the Collection was revolutionary to the community.

If "The Trilogy's" purpose was to let magicians take their cardistry, magic or what ever you want to call it, to the next level, they have defiantly accomplished that in this wonderful Collection collection! Hats off to Dan and Dave!

I bought these videos seeking to improve my magic and flourishing. When I received the videos I was immediately blown away. The videos helped me a lot and I improved greatly. Every feature is detailed so that even beginners will not get lost in the intricate movements. I would highly recommend this to anyone no matter what kind of skills you have. With this you can impress your friends and have fun at the same time! Overall these are great and worth every penny.

Many of us are enthralled by the abilities of real magicians. We aspire to do with a deck of cards what they do. We want to do it beautifully and with finesse. It is possible, but not without hours and hours of practice. I bought the Trilogy years ago, and have practice the handling and sleights therein whenever I had a few moments during medical school?on christmas break, status post a hard exam, after a 30 hour shift while sipping a hard drink, etc. What have I mastered? I probably can't say I've mastered anything, but I have expanded my understanding and repertoire of card flourishes and tricks more than I thought possible.



What brings me back again and again to a deck of cards? The challenge of course, but more importantly it's that I believe in "real" magic when I see it. In those rare instances, it provides a lasting, unforgettable memory. That is what the Trilogy is.



I'm not one for gimmicks. The Buck twins present nothing that could remotely resemble something gimmicky. They perform real sleight of hand, impromptu effects and flourishes you could do with any deck in any setting. That is real magic, whether it is a trick or a flourish. And it requires real work. It is something that when you have put in the time and effort, you can be proud of, because you have done something that makes other people feel more than a fleeting moment of interest. You have given an experience that other people will remember for years to come.



I love what is on the Collection set. Each effect, flourish, and utility is taught from several angles with detailed explanation. However, I would think of it more as a reference text in video form than a list of tricks you will learn over several months. You need to study it and keep coming back to it. Likely you will have much more time to invest than I do, and you will become a master of a trick or two in weeks to months. But I guarantee you will not master even the material on 1 Collection in a year. Which begs the question: how can you get years worth of material to become an advanced card mechanic for so fair a price?



This is a set of material worth working on, and it will reap benefits in so many ways. From the fulfillment of practicing in front of the mirror, the thought process of your sleights with your patter, to that moment you enchant a room full of your friends who bring up your tricks again and again to you like you weren't there, you will know you made the right decision to invest in the Trilogy by Dan and Dave Buck.

These 3 Collection's are essential to anyone who wants to learn hardcore and visual card magic and flourishes. Everything on this is taught extremely well from multiple angles and is very easy to follow along. Whether you're interested in card magic or flourishes, everyone will find something to use and to practice. Something everyone should have in their library. GET IT!

I honestly could not wait for this package to come. I bought the whole Trilogy and once it came I was glued, *CORRECTION, I *AM glued. I've learned every trick inside and out... Being new to flourishing, I've worked everyday. I practice the finger exercises ALL the time. This purchase has made me a better everything, in relation to cards. The Trilogy is a definite must have.

$85 is very fair price considering the amount of material in these Collections. In my opinion, a few of the tricks are a little fishy looking, and would seem strange to spectators, but any issues could easily be fixed with a replacement slight. The "everythingelse" Collection was excellent, and I loved everything taught on that.

The trilogy is the best purchase in magic that i have made so far. The tricks are so visually stunning and are all completely impromptu, the flourishes are absolutely incredible and the teaching for them covers everything, everything else is my favorite place to go for a bit of inspiration and flourishes 101 is a great basis for the beginner and will garentee the expert something they haven't seen before. I cannot give these Collections enough praise, incredible.

Visual, unlike ANYTHING anyone has ever seen. It's MODERN card magic at its best. Did I mention IMPROMPTU?? These Collections, any of the 3.... will take your game to an unseen level. I use these everyday and the work speaks for itself. The instructions are straight to the point and the over the shoulder portions help. I've been doing D&D's sleights since the D&D System in 2001. And quite frankly their sleights and effects are the most complimented ever. I'd suggest you buy it now!

From these 3 Collections you'll probably learn more than from any others. It's a great place to start, after you know the basics. (Don't know the basics yet? Well, no problem, you can click the "Learn" tab at the top of the page to learn them for FREE!) Also, on the "Everythingelse" disc you have the basic flourishes explained too. Of course, on the "flourishes" disc you will find some more complicated ones (still you can find here easier flourishes, like the Molecule 4 or very advanced ones, like Pandora. You'll learn what you like!) On the Tricks Collection there are a lot of different card tricks, again, ranging from the easy to the difficult ones. So, to conclude this review, I must say that the Trilogy is something to own for all! I really HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Trilogy, after a while you will see how much it will have enhanced your magic and flourishing skills.

I like all of Dan and Dave's flourishes so I got The Trilogy set. I've learned only the Molecule so far because all the other flourishes are hard, especially Pandora and Jackson 5 so I try to practice it every day and break down the steps. Playing it in slow motion would be easier. The tricks are easier to learn (I like them all) except Collectors because it's very confusing. Overall it's a great and powerful Collection set that will teach you a lot of things. Recomended for flourishers and card magicians.

The best Collection on sleight of hand and flourishing I've ever seen! I remember watching the trailer who knows how many times. Tricks like Twin Split Remix leave me stunned. Jackson 5 and Pandora are just insane. The teaching is wonderful. I've had these Collections for a while and still look at them. The sleights you will learn are invaluable - there's something for everyone. It's not easy but it is so worth the time to practice. It's truly an amazing set of Collections.

This is really a piece of art. These Collections have inspired me so much as a magician, and if it wasn't for these Collections I wouldn't be half as good as I am now. It is totally worth the money. If a magician asked me (I wouldn't even ask what his skill level is, these Collections cover a wide range of stuff that even Beginners and Pros have stuff to learn) what they should waste $85 on (waste isn't exactly a good word for this, because $85 on these Collections is no waste!!!) I would definitely direct them here. What are you waiting for? Buy them now!!

This Collection changed my life. Without it I probably would have fallen out of magic but after I saw the trailer for this and read that all the tricks were impromptu I had to have it. The Trilogy took my magic to the next level and also lead me to this site where I've learned more than I ever thought I would. This is the perfect lesson on Modern Magic. Get it!

Disc 1, tricks, contains 14 awesome tricks. You can find them sold separately on this site also, but I recommend buying the Collection. All tricks are divided into performance, explanation and ots (over the shoulder). The explanation is a tutorial with speaking, and ots is a trick taught in slow motion without words. Easily understandable.



Disc 2, flourishes, contains 10 flourishes divided into performance and explanation. Some flourishes require knowledge of other flourishes taught in The System Collection.



Disc 3, everythingelse, is devided in 5 parts. All the material on this disc is awesome. Also, there is a bonus section called Flourish 101 which teaches basic flourishes.



Buy it now, and you will be amazed by what is inside the The Trilogy.

AMAZING! If not THE best Magic/Flourishing/Move Collection on the market to DATE!! You owe it to yourself to buy this now!!! If you havent bought it already you are seriously missing out!!! Take no notice of the price, the quality of amazing material on this Collection is OUTSTANDING! The teaching is just WOW!!! I've had these 3 Collections for a while now and go back to them all the time!! In my opinion, disc three (everythingelse) is the best! All three are awesome, but everything on "everythingelse" I use!
