One of magic's most exciting new creators, Sam Huang (aka Crazy Sam), is back with the ultimate project on cube solves.

"Crazy Sam's Solve" feattures Sam Huang's innovative breakthroughs on the instant cube solve. You won't believe these aren't CGI! But, not only are they real, but they're also super practical and have been designed to be performed for real people.

And the best part? It's all pure sleight of hand.

This video encyclopedia of cube solves contains incredible breakthrough concepts like:

  • Expansion solve
  • Show solve
  • Drop solve
  • Blow solve
  • Flick solve
  • Lock solve
  • Shadow solve
  • Switch solve
  • Blur solve
  • In their hands solve

You'll learn how to solve cubes with a flick of your fingers as if they were a light switch or by passing them through the shadow of your hand. Another favorite of ours is the gradual solve in which the colors slowly expand on one side until the entire cube is solved. Undoubtedly though, the standout for many of you will be the solve that happens while your volunteer holds the cube.

As this project is being released in conjunction with Henry Harrius, you know the teaching is exceptional quality as well. A top-quality RD practice cube is also included to enhance your learning experience.

You'll receive:

  • 1 hour of detailed explanations (subtitles available in English, Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish)
  • 9 amazing cube solves
  • Multiple concepts that can be applied to existing techniques
  • A full one cube routine
  • RD practice cube

Unlock the secrets to the "Crazy Sam's Solve" and elevate your cube magic today!

Customer reviews for Crazy Sam's Solve

Jeffrey
Henry and Sam offer good solves for the cube. However, the video is in Chinese with English subtitles. I found it very difficult to read the subtitles and follow the solve that was being shown. Had I known this, I probably would not have purchased it. It would be great if they had gotten someone to translate the dialogue into English.
John
I agree with Jeffrey. Had I know this was in chinese I never would have ordered it. The tutorial is very difficult to follow with subtitles.
Steven
The tutorials with subtitles are hard to follow. Also, you cannot download the tutorials. Nine different solves and you have to keep signing in to watch the videos. Not very good!

I’ve learned a number of different types of Rubiks cube magic. This includes cube 3, cube 52 and REFRAKTOR. This is the first one I’ve purchased that doesn’t use standard notation to teach the algorithms. I think that’s unfortunate.

I realize that it takes some effort to learn standard cube notation, but it makes it much easier to practice algorithms, than watching a video where the manipulations are based on finger positions. I’m not sure how much I’ll use this video. I’ll give it a chance. But I’m going to end up having to write the notation myself so I have a way to practice other than watching the video over and over.

Unfortunately, this is the lowest score I have ever given a VI product. I purchased Venom Cube (also from Henry Harrius) and the tutorial video that came with the product was fantastic, so I was expecting this to be on a similar level of quality. However, the fact that the audio is in Chinese (with English subtitles) makes it extremely difficult to use. You want to be able to listen to the directions while looking at your own cube/hands, but you simply can't (if you don't understand Chinese). In addition, the notation used is not explained and it took me a while to even understand it.

So while the actual cube stacks and solves are excellent, I rated it "Below standard" because it is exactly that - this is not the standard I have become used to for a VI product tutorial, and since basically the whole product that you are paying for is the tutorial (it comes with a cube which I have not yet received, so while I assume it's a great cube, I have 2 already that came with the Venom Cube and didn't need a third).

Some unsolicited advice for the VI crew: Take this off the market for a couple of months, hire a good English language voice-over reader to read the subtitles for the video and repost it so we can give it a 5-star rating.

I read some review regarding Crazy Sam Solve. The review is regarding the video production and not the material itself which it doesn't bring justice to Henry Harrius and Sam Huang who has very good reputation in the magic industry with their products and their thinking. If you want to learn visual Rubik's Cube magic, don't look elsewhere since this is basically an encyclopedia of Rubik Cube where you can learn multiples visual solves. Some of them required practice and study to learn the pattern. This product is not for everyone since there are a lot of knuckles busting move.

I could agree there could be improvement in the video production.
Jonathan
I love this product. The cube that comes with it is looser than other speed cubes to make practice easier, but I'd recommend also getting an RD cube and practicing with that once you get the hang of it.

You can download the instructional video in Chinese or English. The English is translated directly to English, which makes it a little weird, but with Sam's gestures, it's easy to understand. Just remember to download the English audio version rather than the Chinese with subtitles.

The solves look absolutely amazing.

These reviews are insane. 2 stars because you have to read while watching? I don't think this is meant for beginner cubers, you should at least know how to solve a cube and maybe knowledge of 1 other cube routine such as cube3. That being said, the solves and false shuffles taught here are reputation makers. They are visual, impossibly simple, and fun to perform. Yes it takes practice. For Cube magic to look good, the audience needs to truly believe that the cubes are genuinely mixed up. I prefer the simplicity of these videos over some of the other teaching methods on cube tutorials like refractor
