Your spectator impossibly finds the only pieces in a random stack that come together to create an image they’re merely thinking of. “Photo Finish” by Dan Harlan is a diabolically clever piece of mentalism for any occasion.
A stack of photographs that has been cut into small pieces is given to an audience member and they are able to mix the photo pieces any way they want. You then invite them to participate in a bit of a photo recall / photographic memory experiment.
After describing a vivid and clear image to them, they are invited to sort the stack of photos they just shuffled into four face-down piles. The top of each pile is then turned over to reveal that they have impossibly managed to find the four pieces that come together to create the image they had in their minds.
“Photo Finish” by Dan Harlan plays well in any setting. It’s a great casual piece of close up magic and street magic mentalism piece. But, you’ll also find that even audiences in more formal professional magic settings will be jumping and screaming when they learn they found the perfect photo.
This amazing effect is surprisingly easy to do and requires no sleight of hand. It's essentially automatic. Your spectator does most of the work and the structure of the effect makes it feel so much larger than a simple revelation. At the end, they can even examine everything. There's nothing to find.
Each “Photo Finish” set comes with all the props needed to perform this effect (including photos), as well as expert instruction from Dan Harlan. You can even customize the effect to use your own photos. Imagine the guest of honor at your next event discovering they magically found a photo of themselves!
“Photo Finish” is practical and fun magic that is perfect for everyone from magicians to mentalists, and pros to hobbyists.
