Prismatica is a stunning visual Sponge Ball routine that is perfect for walkaround, close-up, parlor and, well.. every other possible situation!
You start by showing a single red ball. It goes into your closed fist… you open your hand… and it’s gone.
Why? Because it’s already jumped back into your pocket.
You repeat the effect, this time it's cleaner, fairer, with every eye burning your hands. The ball clearly goes into your fist… and then you ask the question:
“Which hand is it in?”
They say left. You open your left hand… no ball. Just a bold blue cube.
All attention snaps to your right hand. You open it slowly to reveal a yellow pyramid.
“So where’s the red ball?” Easy. It is already back in your pocket. Everything can be fully examined.

It is clever, but it is difficult to get it to work properly. I don't mean there is difficult sleights, I mean the transformation isn't very smooth. I tried over and over and it's almost impossible to do it smoothly... at least with the set I have. Went right into the bin.

I just received Prismatica and after examining the pieces included as well as watching Javier Fuenmayor’s very informative and detailed video tutorial, I deemed this unique effect to be a worthy addition to my sponge magic repertoire. The sponge ball, pyramid, square and ‘gimmick’ are very nice quality, easy to manipulate and have vivid colors which give them a professional look. I’m a long time fan of sponge magic and have used the traditional ‘sponge ball to square’ for years. Javier’s timely variation of this old tried and true classic is a welcomed surprise which will please close-up workers far and wide. I’m very reluctant to have my props examined, but when the occasion is appropriate, there is an option available which allows the Prismatica sponges to be examined. Buy a few. This simple sponge ball routine is quick but it floors people. I was always a big fan of Tenyo’s Parabox. It has a similar impact without the box! Highly recommended

Do you do any sponge work? If so, I highly suggest picking these up. They were sold out for a while, but it seems like the stock has finally caught up. This could work as the closer to a longer routine or as a quick, one-time “Which hand?” effect after a vanish. There is a knack to the move, but most people who work with sponges will recognize the gimmick and have probably used something similar before. I knocked off one star because the pyramid had some bits that were not fully trimmed, along with red stains. However, these are $10 sponges in vividly different colors, so it is acceptable. One thing worth noting: the answer below says these are 2-inch sponges, but I own Penguin’s sponge balls and several other 2-inch sponge balls, and the included red ball is visibly smaller. After measuring it, it appears to be closer to 1.75 inches than the full 2 inches. In performance, the balls should still be interchangeable, meaning you can simply use your own 2-inch sponge balls. Still, it is annoying that the gimmick is the correct size while the extra ball is not.

Love the idea however, quality was poor. Not even 30 minutes into practicing, the gimmicked ripped this making it inoperable. Big fan of Murphy’s magic but unfortunately, this was subpar quality or maybe I just received a faulty one.

This is a great and quick sponge routine. Perfect as an opener for any walkaround event be it for kids or adults. It is going straight into my set. I often keep sponge balls in a playing card deck case so when people whinge at yet another card routine you bring out a sponge instead!
