When it comes to making things levitate, Yigal Mesika is the master. We’re delighted to be able to let you know he’s wholly redesigned his amazing Spider Pen and built what we believe is the ultimate motorised thread tool. It’s completely silent, it now lets you stall the levitation for up to 45 seconds. You can walk up to 40 feet away from the item you wish to float, and the spool can be changed in a flash.

“It's hard to imagine so much efficient ingenuity in such a small space. Mesika’s Spider Pen X is absolute perfection. And it produces absolute miracles.” Jim Steinmeyer

“Your handlings on The Floating Bill are the best I've seen - they look like real live Hollywood special effects!” John Kennedy

“Yigal Mesika has done it again. The Spider Pen X will prove a boon to the art of levitation. Always ready. Always under your control. It's positively supernatural.” Luis De Matos

"Spider Pen X" is now forged from stainless steel, to make sure this beautiful pen lasts forever. The new design is slimmer and sleeker than the original and the design of the pen is classy yet classic. Rather than the slightly fiddly batteries, it now runs of a single AAAA battery (included) which will last you up to six months.

Of course the tool itself is only part of the package, you also get a brand new tutorial video, shot in 4k. You’ll learn to make a borrowed bill magically float from the floor into your hand, how to animate a bill and make it mysteriously travel across your body, you’ll float a straw, make bills balance in impossible, gravity-defying ways and cause a leaf to travel back to the tree it fell from with a gentle blow.

This is a portable miracle you can always carry with you and be ready to perform instantly. Oh, and the pen writes and has a refillable ink cartridge!

When I recieved my order, the pen would only stay on for 5 seconds, before shutting off completely and only restarting after removing the batter. Vanishing Inc was FANTASTIC about helping me out and sending out a replacement.

The replacement worked perfectly out of the box. I have only played with it a little bit, but so far this is EVERYTHING I'd hoped for since the original Spier Pen.

The fact that it's FINALLY all metal is probably the biggest benefit I've been waiting for. (Ok, the insert part of the cap and the thread spool are plastic, but EVERYTHING else is metal.)
My original Spider Pen became useless shortly after the threading for the battery housing cracked and would no longer screw together, so the fact that ALL of the connecting threads and body of the pen are finally all metal.

There are some fantastic effects and tips and ideas on the included download. Sadly some of the work with bills won't work so well with newer polymer bills, but with some thought you can still do the effects.

So long story short, despite the long journey, I am thoroughly pleased with both the Spider Pen X, and Vanishing Inc's customer service!

First off I was a bit apprehensive about buying this product because Ive had ITRs before and they're always going wrong with thread tangling and thread breaking which can be really annoying however I decided to go for this just because IT can be extremely powerful especially to laymen. This blew my expectations out of the water. The explanation is beautifully shot and lighted and the product is absolutely excellent the quality is fantastic. With regard the the routines I would have liked for Yigal to teach a haunted deck I think that would have made it perfect however the Zero gravity bill is completely incredible and feels like real magic to me even when Im doing it. Overall I would say this is an absolute must have if you have any curiosity in getting into IT. (Don't get me wrong this does go wrong, the thread breaks if your not careful occasionally it takes two times to retract due to the motor). But the mother is absolutely silent as advertised and the thread is really easy to fix. It takes like a minute to go into the spool and get more, by the way it may have been a one off but mine came without a battery but V with their amazing support gave me £5 to buy a new one so I can't complain about this however be weary of it and you may want to buy a battery for it before it arrives so you can get going with it straight away. Overall Just buy it, its great!

Ok first off, I just wanna say... I love it, its not a major upgrade from the spider pen pro (kinda) it is thinner and slightly smaller (awesome) but not much of a difference between them... so nothing new is really added to it except for the pen it's self, everything else is the same for the pen, but I still like it, I even perfer the spider pen over tarantula (tarantula is smaller... but it just uncomfortable for me not to mention your movement is slightly limited and you have to add alot of pressure to the cap for the thread to be locked...(but modifying the cap helps) but I perfer to lock the thread it's self from the housing) I recommend this pen, no big upgrades from the original, but it's still awesome... and for the video... it's basically the same as well except mesika teaches you how to hide a pen in a polo shirt, "releaf" (pre show and on the spot), and a way to hide the wax away from the pen, but still nice to watch as a refresher (If your new to itr, the methods he teach are great and perfect for performing) so... again, I strongly recommend this ITR, anything from mesika is gold (Also he mentioned he has black wax... WHAT!?!... When was this?) So buy it if you have a chance.
P.S. Also I did forget to mention, the reel does feel slightly stronger... but I just might feel that cuz its new... either way, not bad.
P.P.S. On the "FLY" segment "control" is spelled wrong... it doesn't bother me, I just wanted to let others know as like a Easter egg or something.

I had problems once I tried it for the first time. The spider thread got all tangled up around the spooler making it unusable. Now I have to wait for the spider threads to be available so I can give it another go. I'm very disappointed since I was really looking forward to perform this trick.

    • 1. Bhavish answers: Seems like this is all stainless steel and thinner to be more modern. The timer for the soul technology is also 45 seconds instead of 30 for the pro

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Absolutely!
  • Anthony asks: If someone already has the tarantula 2, would this be like an upgrade to that or it is basically the same?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: This would be a big upgrade because the gimmicks are entirely different.
  • Darren asks: Is it possible to do a spinning coin effect without any set-up? I am worried that the pen will try to retract while I'm spinning the coin! Also, Has anyone any thoughts on doing the floating with these new plastic (UK) bank notes? The original method had you making a slight tear on the bill but this is not really possible with a new borrowed note. And finally do any of you creative souls out there have any other ideas for objects - that would be available at a wedding or party - that would be easy to work with? Thanks!

    • 1. Jim answers: You would have to try the coin. Without knowing the exact weight, no one could guarantee that it would work. Since wake is used, plastic bank notes should work. With wax, no tear is needed. Sure, send me my consulting fee, and I will share my creativity. :)

  • Nick asks: The ad copy says that you consider this the “ultimate moterized thread device” does that mean you consider it superior to Gravity by Joao?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: They are both very different but the spider pen is very intuitive and compact.
  • Michael asks: Could I levitate a cigarette sitting on a table about 5 feet away to my hand?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: With a little modification, it's definitely possible.
  • abdel rahman asks: Could I levitate a ring to spectator finger and move a cup or glass on table towards me? is it strong enough or only for bill and so

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: You can move a cup or glass on a table towards you. Unfortunately you cannot do the ring levitation with this device.

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Yes
  • Joseph asks: Can you levitate a lifesaver candy with this just like you can with tarantula 2 gimmick?

  • William asks: What is the tension strength of the thread and the motor?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: The tension is strong but not overly intense. The great thing about the Spider Pen X is that the electric motor adjusts instantly to the tension you give.
  • Michael asks: What the heck is an ITR?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Invisible Thread Reel. It's a way to easily transport, store and perform with invisible thread.
  • Michael asks: The Spider Pen sounds wonderful. But is it really? One of the reviews said: "The spider thread got all tangled up around the spooler making it unusable. Now I have to wait for the spider threads to be available so I can give it another go." Are replacement spools not available. How easy is it to screw up this trick for someone not experienced with this type of device? Just need to know before I spend $100.

    • 1. Jim answers: Well, you are dealing with two items that can be the cause of issues: electronics and thread. Both require patience and practice. If you have never worked with thread, my suggestion is to hold off on this until you have some expertise.
    • 2. Orvil answers: Actually 3 issues and mainly the 3rd issue over the other two and that's HUMAN ERROR.

  • Ken asks: Could I ask a spectator to draw a picture of a magic carpet on a piece of paper the size of a dollar bill, then have it move 15+ feet to look like a flying carpet using the Spider Pen X? (Weird idea I know, but it goes along with a story I want to tell). Thanks in advance. Also, would the thread likely be visible in a senior center or nursing home if I included it in a show?

    • 1. Leonardo answers: You can... if you find a way to do that, cuz there's a constant pull the moment it's activated... if you're doing that trick I recommend a itr with a remote like scorpion (by Bobby motta) or something

  • Ian asks: On the original spider pen (not the pro as I never had it), the button on top could come off very easily, exposing the spool. Is the top of this pen secure?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Yes, it's a total reworking in every way. The cap stays on, there's no plastic to break and the auto-off feature means it doesn't gobble batteries like I eat chocolate!
  • Kevin asks: I received the pen but there are no instructions or links to the handling. Where can I find that?

  • Patrick asks: When you make the leaf fly back to the tree, does the leaf actually stick back on? Like would I be able to unattach the thread from the leaf and it would still be on the branch?

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: No. It doesn't stick back to the branch.

    • 1. Jim answers: The manufacturer offers support through their e-mail: support@yigalmesika.com

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: This is not the device to do that effect. I recommend checking out the Gravity Reel.
