David Williamson’s Kooky Koins is a feast for both the eyes and imagination. In this outstanding display of sleight of hand, Williamson not only manipulates the audience’s sense of sight, but their sense of sound as well. This added ruse of subterfuge adds a layer that proves not only baffling, but deeply beautiful. If you’re tired of hackneyed tricks and are looking to practice, look no further-- Kooky Koins will take your magic onto another plane.
The explanation of this routine is from David's phenomenal DVD, Sleight of Dave, available for streaming exclusively on ArtofMagic.com.
Customer reviews for Kooky Koins
These are really really awsome magic tricks!!! They are really easy to do and some of them are really mind blowing.
DW's genius is in his simplicity of thought. Smooth, very seamless moves and motivation with very magical, visually stunning results. I will use some of this in my upcoming festival shows.
It's so easy to hate this cheesy old performance style. And in fact I hated it right away. I huffed and puffed and sighed and rolled my eyes.
But then I started learning.
The routine is really nice and a bit of fun; not too hard to do either. But there's more to learn here than the routine. There are some great tips on motivation, a lovely little vanish that is similar to one I've seen Kainoa Harbottle do and some performance tips too.
That's quite a lot packed into such a short video and that's why I highly recommend it.
One of the best coin routines I have learned. If you are a serious coin worker or wanting to add some coung magic to your close up magic get this. This is perfect for casual close up shows and restaurant work I will be using this as my new opener.
This is a really nice coin routine, with a sound element that is very unique. There are important observations about having an script for the routine, that in this case is not apparent to the public, but that justifies why he is doing things the way he is doing.
I really enjoyed this! As more of a card guy I wasn’t expecting to be so excited to about trying this out but I was pleasantly surprised. Dave is pretty amazing and had a lot of great tips packed into this short video. I love that you don’t need any special gimmicks either. Can’t wait to try this out!
