Erik

i just finished reading this yesterday and was a little disappointed. this book is almost like an old catalogue. it does have some tips and that in it. the part i liked the most was the dice section. it doesn't go into a lot of detail for the would-be dice mechanic, but it does have a lot of the types of loaded dice, and other trick die. some I have never heard of before ,and now it's got me hunting down info.

the other part I liked was the pictures of vintage gambling tables. one image is of a chair that turns into a poker table! um...space saver, anyone?

overall the book was interesting and seems like a good resource for researching other shifty business. i also like old books of obscure things most people wouldn't bother with. if you like looking at old contraptions for cons to part money from marks, this will be interesting to you. maybe you want to know how to cheat at cards using your ankles....it's possible.

anyone doing a gambling routine should have this book as a resource for some possibly hilarious, and unusual scripting.
