James Randi has a standing offer of $1,000,000 for proof of life after death. Claims are cheap. Proof is everything. EVP gives you the power to put the apparent PROOF of life after death onto your spectator's phone. A memento they can keep forever and never forget.

EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) are electronic recordings interpreted as voices from the dead or other paranormal sources. Alan Rorrison's latest masterpiece, EVP, allows you to seemingly harvest voices from the other side and make them answer the questions of your spectator ON THEIR PHONE. Your shell-shocked spectator will leave the encounter with the likely evidence of a spirit's voice on their phone, as they replay it over and over, in utter disbelief.

EVP is the first device in magic to ever allow the spectator to keep the evidence of a seemingly paranormal event on their own phone. Use your newly discovered power wisely.

I really enjoyed the idea of this effect. When I opened the box I wasn't to impressed but I gave it a try and it works! It's not the best effect, It's really hard to do anywhere that isn't a quit room but it does the job in the right environment.

Official review from MAGIC Magazine

From the July 2015 MAGIC Magazine. Reviewed by John Wilson

I would not be surprised to see a spectator cry or run in fear from this trick. It is not always wrong to confront these themes in performance, but these subjects are not to be taken on without some serious thought. This effect carries great power, and I would not want to see that power being abused. That being said, this is terrific. It is easy to use and fully customizable. From the point of view of the audience, it appears to be impromptu. I would recommend EVP to anyone whose performance style will allow a little conversation with a ghost.

Hey, magic friends! I hope my opinion is helpful to you. If you'd prefer to watch my review, I'll post a link below to a video review I did for it on my YouTube channel.

This is absolutely one of my favorite effects to perform...in the cold (I'll explain below). The reason is that it's not just another "magic trick". Sometimes I enjoy purely entertaining, which in this case may mean scaring or potentially scarring, so be cautious who you perform this in front of! For me, it's better presented with a haunted theme however, this can be used for your magical purposes as well. In fact, with some slight creativity, I'm sure you could come up with a bunch of other uses for this to suit your own style.

A quick note about the contents and instructions. It was definitely one of the most thorough teachings of an effect that I have ever received. They literally walk you step-by-step through everything. I doubt you'll have any questions after viewing. A great thing they did was show a performance by someone who just learned how to do it and critiqued that performance. There is an opportunity for young performers to really gain insight, I think that can be immensely helpful and cool to be included. Also, I really enjoyed the method and to me, it's just as fun to set up and perform as it is to experience with my audience. I haven't felt that way with an effect in quite some time.

My one hang up is that it does require a jacket to perform and I live in Florida, so It's very seldom I get to wear one. They do include a method to perform it in a hoodie, which is a nice workaround but the jacket method is the most natural for me. Usually, that would be a deal breaker but for this effect, it's still worth it. Also, some have mentioned the noise problem, I haven't had an issue with this. What I do is first check it out before I perform to make sure it's not a problem and proceed from there. Now as far as the price, it was worth it for me but you're going to have to be the judge of that for yourself. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Have fun with it.
