A stunning reproduction of a beloved Bicycle classic!

From 1899 to 1917, a special back design known simply as #18 was used as an homage to the technological advancements made to the two-wheeled bicycle at the turn of the century. It was believed that chainless bicycles were the way of the future. However, while innovation was progressing at a rapid pace during this time, chains continued to be an integral part of bicycle mechanics well into the 21st century. With these delightful Bicycle Chainless Playing Cards you can venture back in time to a fun period of archetypal designs and wonderfully elegant and simple concepts.

Bicycle Chainless Playing Cards are printed on premium Bicycle brand cardstock and come wrapped in a special vellum embossed card box with lovely embossing that is inspired by the design found on the back of the back of iconic Bicycle packaging from 1885. The historic legacy of Bicycle Playing Cards and the Russel, Morgan & Co. business is further honored with a custom tax stamp seal.

Available in Red or Blue.

  • Caleb asks: Are these printed in Ohio or Kentucky?

    • 1. Jim answers: The box has Ohio printed on it.
    • 2. Andrew answers: Jim is correct in that the front of the box has "Cincinnati, OH" - but I read that as a copy of the original design. The copyright information (on the bottom) says 2015 and "United States Playing Card Company. Erlanger, KY", so I'd assume that these were produced at the new KY factory.
