Just like the original—Hannya Playing Cards (V2) commemorate the iconic Hannya mask which, in recent years, has risen in popularity due to its prevalence in tattoos. In fact, these cards are heavily inspired by designer Damien O’Brien’s own Hannya tattoo.

Said to portray the souls of women who have become demons due to obsession or jealousy, the Hannya mask is a masterful embodiment of the complexity of human emotions. If you look at it straight on, it leers back with a menacing stare. However, when tilted down, the demon’s face quickly shifts to one that is more mournful and distressed.
Every deck of Hannya Playing Cards (V2) comes secured in a rich black tuck case that pops with stunning red-foil, which was also used to print the devious devils found on the backs of each card. Each deck is printed by Cartamundi and includes 2 exclusive Jokers, as well as a King of Spades that has been custom-drawn to look like Damian.
