Following the incredible success of Paperwave Playing Cards, New York-based graphic designer Lorenzo Cobo is thrilled to introduce his latest endeavor—Paperwave Glyph Edition Playing Cards. These stunning playing cards were born from Lorenzo’s sincere interest in typography.
Using a typeface talented French designer Charles Quirouard, Lorenzo began developing an innovative deck that used unconventional methods to challenge the basic notion of what a deck of cards can be. After struggling to find an attractive way to incorporate all 26 letters into one back design, he made the bold decision to go in a completely different direction.
Every deck of Paperwave Glyph Edition Playing Cards includes 56 totally unique back designs. Every design has been meticulously crafted to forge a cohesive interaction between the letters. This abstract typeface allows the letters to act more like shapes that create remarkable imagery.
Each deck of Paperwave Glyph Edition Playing Cards includes custom Aces and Jokers, as well as re-colored court cards to better create a cohesive aesthetic. They are printed on premium crushed stock by the USPCC and come packed in a remarkable matching tuck box.
