The legend of Jerry’s Nugget Playing Cards...
In the early 1970’s, Jerry’s Nugget Casino in Las Vegas was unaware that the signature decks they were creating would eventually become one of the most collectable decks of cards ever printed by the United States Playing Card Company.
Originally, Jerry’s Nugget Playing Cards were designed for live use in the casino but, for some unknown reason, they were instead locked away in a Las Vegas storage unit and forgotten about.
A decade later, the playing cards resurfaced when Jerry’s Nugget Casino began selling them as souvenirs in their gift shop for just $2 a deck. This is how Lee Asher happened upon them, and thus the legend of Jerry’s Nugget Playing Cards was born. He quickly spread the news about these astounding playing cards. Eventually, bricks of the highly sought after decks were selling for $100s, and even $1000s.
Right before the turn of the century, Jerry’s Nugget Playing Cards completely sold out. You couldn’t get them ANYWHERE. But still, people clamoured for them. They became the single most desired deck of cards ever created.
Of course, something so expensive and coveted is bound to get pirated and it wasn’t long before eBay was flooded with counterfeits. This motivated Lee Asher to partner with Expert Playing Card Company and (legally) reprint these legendary playing cards.
After 3 years of stressful licensing negotiations and a massively successful Kickstarter campaign, Jerry’s Nugget Playing Cards are back—and this time they are available in an insanely awesome Vintage Feel collector’s edition and the new Modern Feel version designed for everyday use.
