As part of an inaugural 2-deck release in his remarkable new series of playing cards dedicated to the Wild West and Gold Rush era of the late 19th century, legendary playing card creator Randy Butterfield presents WILD WEST: The Black Hills Playing Cards.

Committed to creating an authentic representation of this iconic time period, Randy stepped away from his computer—electing to design the entire deck of cards by hand. Every component of these fully-customized cards, beyond the tuck case, was meticulously crafted with pencil and paper to create an unbelievably unique aesthetic.

Each WILD WEST: The Black Hills Playing Card is washed in a gunmetal gray to create a hardened background that allows the absolutely remarkable sepia illustrations of legendary Wild West figures such as Annie Oakley, Wild Bill and Calamity Jane to truly stand out on the remastered face cards. Each suit carries its own unique collection of characters, as well as distinct backgrounds to match. On the backs of every card and the reimagined Aces is also an ornate patterning inspired by the archetypal engravings found on leather holsters and saddles in the Wild West.

WILD WEST: The Black Hills Playing Cards are printed on a durable classic stock by Legends Playing Card Company and stored in and embossed matte tuck case adorned with gold foiling and Pantone White UV spot ink. Each card box also features a marvelous 1800’s The Black Hills map printed on its interior.
