Humans have always been obsessed with the idea of flying. Few were more intrigued by the thought of human flight though than Leonardo Da Vinci.
The iconic inventor is believed to have created the parachute during the early Renaissance period. Da Vinci’s primitive parachute design featured four ropes tied to a linen curtain in a pyramid shape. A lack of appropriate materials led to this being mostly a theoretical idea at the time. But, it is often credited as the origin for modern day parachute design.
Centuries later, this idea was finally brought to life as British skydiver Adrian Nicholas successfully tested Da Vinci’s pyramid parachute design. Thus, proving it is very likely that Leonardo da Vinci created the world’s first working parachute.
The “Leonardo’s Parachute Puzzle” is a special tribute to this momentous occasion. This unique and fun 3D puzzle must be disassembled and then reassembled to complete the solution. Don’t let the simplicity fool you though, this desktop puzzle and brainteaser offers some unique challenges.
This beautiful wood puzzle is the perfect unique birthday gift idea or stocking stuffer. It’s a fun desk toy for adults that makes a great display when solved.
