Very nice twist on the mental epic. However, the envelopes can get beat up and marked up pretty quickly if you’re not careful. Always store them in their box. Eventually the gimmick wears out a little bit, so if you love it make sure you get another one.
Most of you may already know they method employed here but what really sets this apart are the envelopes. They are very well constructed and they are what makes the trick deceiving. You will need good presentation skills otherwise the trick may fall apart and you may tip the method. The one thing I don't like about them are the plastics inserts you write on. They aren't super easy to clean as you use a regular sharpie not dry erase. I used dry erase and it was harder to get off than the sharpie. While not good for the earth I would prefer one use inserts or a dry board.
The principle is clever; however, the construction is poor. One of my envelopes broke the third time I reset it.They should have and could have spent more time developing this with better materials. If you put serious rehearsal time into this, make sure you have back-ups because your envelopes will not look good after a few times. Buy a set to rehearse with and another set to perform with. Have a backup performance set in case something happens when you reset it. If you're willing to put some time into making this on your own, you'll be better off customizing it for your needs.Also, beware of backlighting. If light shines through the envelopes before your prediction goes in, your audience will see something is happening with them.
