You get the instructions and the bag.

Do you need a jacket, or could you wear a tabard-type vest--one with flapped pockets, say? (I never thought I'd get a chance to use "tabard," and yet there it is!)

Do tabard-type vests have pockets? You might be able to "top it" in a vest, if you know what I mean. :)

Do you need sleeves to preform these tricks

Yes; a jacket or suit jacket with sleeves. I just received this as a gift and it works great and simple to do! I highly recommend this Invisibag!
