Included in the World Tour Deck Set is the:

  • Beautifully simple Mongolia edition featuring one of the most requested back designs ever created by Vanishing, Inc.

  • Two-tone Egypt edition designed with the same camel and pyramid imagery that was once found on the caravan rides transporting Egyptologists from Cairo to the Valley of the Kings

  • Retro-style, over-saturated Switzerland edition inspired by the iconic early 20th century posters that encouraged travelers to explore the Swiss Alps

  • Insanely unique China edition with different back designs on each card that come together to form a beautiful mosaic of the Chinese character for “Mystery” when arranged in new deck order

  • Turn-of-the-century classic art deco France version that looks like a lovely café with its delightful floral imagery and silver foiling.

NOTE: This set includes one of each deck (Mongolia, Egypt, Switzerland, China and France). The trunk is NOT included.

Customer reviews for World Tour Deck Set

Julian
I am reviewing the World Tour DECK set. I was too late to buy the World Tour Set that housed the five decks in an attractive, vintage-style suitcase with an ‘antique’ compass and a stack of reproduction postcards, rail cards, receipts with handwritten notes from the famous touring Magician Ezra. That luxury set was sold out by the time I discovered the decks on the Vanishing Inc. website. However, I consider myself fortunate to have picked up a set of the five decks on their own before they also sold out. They are beautiful decks. When they sit next to each other on their sides, the edges of the tuck boxes form a little world map, so it is nice to introduce them to a spectator as a stack of decks. The cards are of consistently high quality and are great to handle for magic or for cardistry. The designs of the decks for each of the five countries are very different to each other and consequently each one has a special point of interest. They are real talking points. I really do not have a favourite. They are all lovely. Having recently aquired Looch’s ‘Places,’ I have been thinking about how to incorporate these decks in a travel themed routine. When you spread the cards of the China deck out in a grid in new deck order, the apparently random patterns on the cards form a poster of the Chinese symbols for ‘Mystery.’ With a bit of imagination, that might be a good opener for a routine using one or more of the decks. So these are not just collectors’ decks. They are unusual, attractive cards for practical magic. Sorry if you missed them!

The design of these decks is of the standard you'd expect from Vanishing Inc. The card stock, unfortunately, isn't. For example, the Switzerland deck is printed on a horrible thick plastic-feeling stock that's a nightmare to handle. From what I can tell, none are printed by USPCC (they're Expert Playing Card Company). They're destined to sit on a stand never to be used in actual performance. Shame.

Honestly, these decks are so nice to hold. I really love the designs of the tuck case as well, (the full set totalling into a world map).
Amazing! Quality finish combined with amazing back designs. I don't think there is a single thing I do not like about theses decks, Great Collector's item.
