You begin by placing a single prediction in full view before three participants each select a card. Unfortunately, none of their selections match your prediction. In frustration, you tear the prediction into quarters.

But when you turn over the pieces one by one, something impossible happens. Each piece has transformed to reveal one of your participants’ selections.

Then you get to the fourth piece.

You ask a participant what card they chose and...

They didn’t choose a card.

You turn over the final quarter to reveal the words:

“I didn’t choose a card.”
