Slipstream: Torn, Stapled and Restored Slipstream: Torn, Stapled and Restored Slipstream: Torn, Stapled and Restored Slipstream: Torn, Stapled and Restored

The most visual, unique, and practical torn and restored card you’ll ever see. This massive hit at Magifest is now available worldwide.

"I honestly have no idea how you just made that happen." Jeremy Griffith

"One of the most unique and memorable Torn & Restored card effects you can perform.” Nicholas Lawrence

"Hold up, what the chocolate fudge is going on? That just looks like some witchcraft. Stay away from me." Avi Yap

A freely-chosen card is selected, removed from the deck and, if desired, signed by your participant. You then fold and tear off a corner. What comes off, must go back though. It’s time to restore the card, but in a bit of an unconventional way.

You take out a mini stapler and staple the torn corner to the card. But, not in the corner it came from. Instead, you staple it right in the center of the back of the selected card.

Then, passing your hand over the stapled corner, you’re able to impossibly move it. The audience sees as the corner passes right through the staple and is completely restored back on the corner it came from.

The card can be immediately handed out, examined, and kept as a one-of-a-kind souvenir. They can clearly see the staple still remains in the center of the card and the corner even still has holes in it.

“Slipstream” by Eric Stevens is a dream card magic effect. It’s both visual and powerful. You get everything you need to start performing right away. Your kit includes the mini stapler, staples, and 2 pre-assembled red and blue gimmicks that come ready to go. You’ll even get extra pieces to create your own gimmicks with your favorite deck of cards if you’d like.

The included instructions go into immense detail, including how to perform “Slipstream” from multiple angles and other variations. You’ll even learn a gimmick-less version, as well as a bonus unique presentation using a blank card “Trimuda Berangle”.

This is a wonderful card effect that you’ll love performing. But don’t take our word for it. Here’s what others had to say about “Slipstream” by Eric Stevens.

"Great effect - looks like pure magic." Allan Ackerman

"Slipstream leaves the spectator with a souvenir that replays an impossibility every time they look at it. David Regal

"Wow. We all know the power of giving a souvenir of an object that has been altered. Now you can add Slipstream to that list. Your spectators will keep that forever. Well done!” Michael Hout

"Eric has elevated the TnR plot to a new level with Slipstream. It looks fantastic and adding the staple to the restoration not only adds a very strong magical moment, but it makes the impossible souvenir even more memorable." David Jonathan

"Honestly I've never seen something so clean. It reminds me of the way Paul Harris' stuff blows my mind. Well done my friend."Nikola Arkane

"Eric's work on the torn and restored card is unique, and quite baffling, even for knowledgable magicians - it certainly fooled me! Whether you perform it with one card from your wallet or a selection from a full deck, I'm sure you audiences will be blown away by the ultra-clean presentation of this classic effect!" Dee Christopher

"Very powerful and practical—leaves the spectator with a convincing souvenir." Adam Trent

"Super convincing and visual, and different. Well done!"Caroline Ravn

"I hate how good this is! Like it's so cleanly done. Signed. Folded. Ripped. Stapled. Card is shown so cleanly on both sides. The staple wiggle with the corner is sooooo damm convincing ! Such a great souvenir your spectator will talk about and keep for many years!!” John Byng

  • Julius G asks: Refills involved ???

    • 1. Eric answers: Hi! Eric here. No refills are involved or necessary. The gimmicks included will do 99% of the work for you, and when your gimmick wears out (which will probably be a VERY long time from now), I not only teach you how to make one, but I include all of the materials required.

  • Richard asks: Is it repeatable with a different card?

    • 1. Eric answers: Hi! Eric here. That depends. Once you have finished performing Slipstream, the gimmick is immediately ready for use again, but you'll have to have another card prepared to do the effect a second time. I explain in the tutorial how to prep multiple cards that can ride in your deck until you need them. Hope that helps.

  • Jim asks: Can any stapler be used? Thx

    • 1. Vanishing Inc. Magic responds: Yes any stapler can be used. You are provided with a small one.
