Just because you couldn’t join us in Japan doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the magic.

Very few people are able to join us on our Retreats, and The Retreat: Japan was no exception. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that brought magicians from around the world together to explore the beauty, history, and magic of Japan while enjoying unforgettable performances from some of the world's finest performers.

To commemorate this extraordinary journey, every guest received a limited-edition gift pack filled with ephemera, keepsakes, and exclusive booklets crafted specifically for the trip. These books are filled with rare, often unpublished pieces of magic from the brightest minds of Japan.

Now, a highly limited number of gift sets are being made available to those who couldn't attend. Once they're gone, they'll never be produced again, making this your only opportunity to pick up these sets. Whether you're a magician, a collector, or both, this is a beautifully curated set you'll be proud to own.

Our Retreat: Japan Gift Pack may be the most elegant collection we've ever created. Inspired by traditional Japanese design, the stunning custom-designed commemorative box is filled with exclusive keepsakes and remarkable magic from some of Japan's most creative magicians.

What's Included in The Retreat: Japan Gift Pack?

Like all of our Retreat Gift Packs, this collection includes an exclusive enamel pin, as well as a deck of INC Playing Cards, available only at our Retreats and conventions.

The custom pin celebrates two of Japan's most iconic symbols: the red rising sun and the unmistakable silhouette of Mount Fuji. Above them are the words "Retreat Japan" in Japanese.

Three Paper Cranes in Glass Bottles
Inside the Retreat: Japan Gift Pack are three delicate origami paper cranes, each carefully displayed inside its own miniature glass bottle. Small in size but full of character, these handcrafted keepsakes celebrate one of Japan's most beloved traditions and serve as a reminder that something as simple as a sheet of paper can be transformed into something extraordinary.

A Creative Powerhouse by Hiro Sakai
One of the highlights of Retreat: Japan was spending time with the legendary Hiro Sakai. Renowned for creating magic that is every bit as clever as it is practical, this exclusive booklet collects some of his favorite routines. The methods rely far more on subtle thinking and brilliantly counterintuitive construction than difficult sleight of hand, making these effects both deceptive and approachable for a wide range of performers.

A Japanese Wonder by Ken Niinuma
When Joshua Jay first met Ken Niinuma, he was virtually unknown, not only to Western magicians, but to most of Japan as well. Since then, Ken has become recognized as one of magic's most original thinkers. A Japanese Wonder contains eight astonishing card routines that take familiar plots in completely unexpected directions. His inventive methods and fresh thinking are deeply fooling and guaranteed to spark ideas you'll use long after you've finished reading.

When the last remaining Retreat: Japan Gift Packs are gone, they're gone forever. This is one of your final opportunities to add this exclusive collection to your library. Order today, exclusively from Vanishing Inc.

Customer reviews for The Retreat Gift Pack (Japan)

Yves
Even though the packaging is beautifull, I was disappointed regarding Ken Niinuma booklet as all the tricks have already been published in Josh Jay’s Talk About Tricks column. I bought this box especially for this booklet hoping for new materials. There are a few new ones in Hiro Sakai booklet but again I would have liked more unpublished tricks. Too bad.

A while back i ordered a Retreat Gift Pack (Egypt). This was the first time for me that I found one available. Came with three booklets with beautiful full color pictures, a deck of INCS poker size playing cards, and a beautiful lapel pin. What a treat. Going forward when this one from Japan came out I couldn't get one fast enough. It came in a very beautiful Red & White box like the same colors of Japan's Flag. Very nice, And low behold the same thing except two booklets, a deck of INCS playing cards, beautiful lapel pin and three small bottles with origami figures in them. I did read one of the booklets and found an effect called Balloon Bank Night. Looks like a wonderful routine that can be done on a platform style stage. Looking forward to learning this. I did find these fun to get and enjoy. The price tag is a little for these. That is why I gave this a Pretty Good instead of Excellent. I think I will enjoy learning from these sets.
