Customer reviews for Dorito Bite
It looks like the producers spent more on packaging than the product itself. The repair th***d isn't even the same color as the original product. The producers supply stickers that hide any repairs. The material used is not plastic. Why do I say this? I can't help but compare this to other food tricks that have to do with, say, Oreos. There are a few different products using cookies and bites and I've got an Oreo product that is made from plastic/rubber and is in really crappy packaging. I LOVE my Oreo Bite gimmick. I couldn't give a rat's butt about packaging for ANY product - if the item is good, packaging is just an extra. This gimmick will still work, but even casual inspection will reveal a seam (as my wife said without even wearing her glasses). Could have been an excellent addition to humorous food magic. But ends up being useable but of poor quality. I'm hoping the producers come up with a better version in the future. No malice in this review intended, but if you're going to spend the current price ($25) you'll be very disappointed. Like I was.
Have to agree with the other review on this page...well below par..feels like a cheap knock-off from a backyard operator. Must be handled by the person performing this slightly at a distance so the spectator cant see its otherwise flat nature. Yes the box looks great, a shame they didn't take care with the production of this item. It is a great idea as something more organic than just a coin, but it missed the mark. To fix this they need to produce a better type of"chip" out of plastic with a few twists, like a real Doprito not just a flat 2D shape. Purchased two..going in the bottom of my drawer at this moment.
