Each case is composed of 5mm acrylic sheets with smooth beveled edges and corners. The lid is held on with 4 neodymium magnets that are 10x stronger than a regular magnet. 4 rubber pads are also included for extra protection.

Carat cases are the absolute standard for storing collectible playing cards. These are thick, so they protect very well. The plastic is perfectly clear so examination of the deck inside is not inhibited. They're easy to use with the magnetic lids. Must have.

I've been making Impossible Bottles for over 20 years. I started a new art form called 3-D deck cutting. Each deck, when finished, needs to be protected, so, I looked around and found that Carat X1 cases were the best. I could not be happier with my carat boxes. These are great for storage. For collectors like me they are an absolute necessity. They are well built and light weight. Completely transparent and sturdy. The carat boxes allow me to protect my collections, but also allow me to organize my decks properly. most importantly, they allow me to display and enjoy my entire collection in the safest way possible. For their durability and quality their price is more than reasonable. I also greatly appreciate the Magic Points Rewards I get for every purchase I make at Vanishing Inc. I have been able to trade my Magic Points for rare decks and real cool items only available through their Magic Points Program. So much fun to buy here!!
Please bear with me, I am still new to writing reviews on the different products that I purchase. I bought this item to help display a deck of playing cards that I had giving to someone as a gift. The case that I received had a minor scratch on it, but I knew the recipient of the gift would not mind at all. The description was not lying when it talked about the 4 neodymium magnets being really strong. It took some sheer force trying to pull the lid off the box, before realizing that you just need to push the lid to the side and it will come off super easy. There is not a lot more that I can say about this product since I do not have it with me anymore. However, the box is very well made and put together (even if mine did have a small scratch on the lid). The rubber pads were a nice touch too and my pads came with no dents or anything that would lessen the value of the box if my receiver so chose to add those pads to the box. I think if you are wanting to showcase a card deck in a beautiful manner than you should definitely think about purchasing the Carat X1 Single Deck Display Case.
