This, like the first two of the series, is a wonderful book. No one has the resources that Mr. Caveny has when it comes to correspondence and the history of magic. This book is about fifty pages longer than volume two and the binding matches the rest of the set. The pictures of the posters, people, and apparatus are beautifully reproduced.
We've all heard about such characters as "Senator Crandall" but this book brings them to life. There is advice on exposure, becoming a professional, and even about petty feuds that magicians were involved in (no, feuds in magic, that can't be).
Like all of MagicWord books, it is beautifully printed and bound. There is much about magic to be learned by reading these old letters. Or, as Jethro (who is in the book) might have said, "there's gold in them there hills." Don't miss the gold while panning for the latest toy. Get this book and read it. It will pay many dividends.
