This book is a FASCINATING, HARROWING account of Werner Reich's true story of survival. Werner Reich is a friend to Vanishing Inc, and his book has been unavailable for some time. We're delighted to bring it back due to popular demand.

Werner Reich was captured and imprisoned when he was 15 years old and spent time in three different concentration camps. While at Auschwitz, he saw a magician--the Great Nivelli--do a card trick, and this spawned a lifelong interest in magic. This is the story of Werner Reich and Nivelli, and includes Werner's amazing story of survival. Beautifully researched and written by Bill Rauscher, this is a magic book unlike any other in your collection.

Softcover. 215 pages. Generously photographed.

Marc asks: Is it possible to view the rest of the interview that Josh Jay did with one of the authors of The Death Camp Magicians? I’ve just received the book. Can’t wait to read it! Thanks.

Customer reviews for The Death Camp Magicians

Mariam

A very harrowing read, the book begins with a look at the Nazis, Jewish magicians, Nevelli, and then details Werner Reich's experiences in the death camps. That he survived at all seems miraculous, that he survived with his humanity intact doubly so. My wife is Jewish, and having met Holocaust survivors at our local temple and hearing their stories made this a gripping read. Recommended.
